THOR: RAGNAROK New Featurette #ThorRagnarok

Counting down the days until THOR: RAGNAROK opens in theaters? So are we! My hubby and I can't wait to see the next chapter in this incredible MARVEL story on the big screen in November! I loved the two previous THOR movies, and have high hopes for the third installment in the series. Hubby and I are sort of MARVEL movie junkies!

Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Saying Goodbye to September and Hello to October

Happy Saturday! September has been a pretty busy month, and although it doesn't look like we'll be slowing down too much in October, I am really looking forward to it. The Wigglesworth crew will be ending September with some celebrating and welcoming October the same way!

Expand Your Child's Horizons at Every Age with Barefoot Books by Donna Hart + Children of the World Gift Set #Giveaway ($36.98 RV)

Thank you to MBP Spotlight Sponsor Donna Hicks for providing me with product from Barefoot Books in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.

Do your kids love to read, explore, and discover? I count myself lucky that both of my littles love books! They come by their love for reading honestly, as they have had a grandma and a  great grandma who are/were librarians. When I was a kid, I loved to go to the library and check out my favorite books, and I also loved my book collection that my parents and grandparents worked hard to build for me at home. My kiddos love adding new books to their bookshelves and have quickly fallen head over heels for Barefoot Books.

Comfort is important for me when I'm choosing accessories and clothing. If it isn't comfortable, it is likely I'm not going to wear it. The watches from Bradford Watch Company are smooth, sleek and easy to wear. You will truly be keeping time in style!

5 Perfect for Fall Recipes- #FiveForFriday

The fall weather has finally arrived in Connecticut. With temperatures in the mid to upper 80s over the last few days, I felt forsaken by my favorite season, which technically "arrived" last week. I love fall and everything that comes along with it- cozy sweaters, warm boots, pumpkin and apple picking, fire pits, and my personal favorite: COMFORT FOOD!

Alternative Fashion Clothing Ideas For All The Family

There are so many trends and fads that go around and around in circles. Somehow they are always evolving and knowing what to wear in order to be in with the times is almost impossible. What drives these trends is beyond the comprehension of most people, so they just wear what they want. However, there’s always been a few lines of clothing and fashion styles that never seem to go truly out of the minds of people. Although they may not be popular, it's sure worth the while to look into them as they’re not out of touch either.

Change Up Your Next Taco Tuesday with a Tasty & Low Carb/Gluten Free Taco Pie #Recipe

Who loves Taco Tuesdays? We usually have a Mexican or Tex-Mex dish once a week. It's not always on Tuesday, but I digress. Tacos are one of those foods that I could eat multiple times a week and never get tired of them. Lately, hubby and I have set out on a semi-low carb journey. We're not tackling it big time like we did when we followed the South Beach Diet, but we are trying to have mainly low carb breakfasts, lunches, and 4-5 low carb dinners each week. Cutting carbs is hard... I have learned that you really have to have a lot of willpower to do it. Sweets are my downfall- I love them. Bread and pasta, I could definitely skip, especially if I have delicious alternatives.

Create a Cleaner Home Environment with Guardian Technologies #MBPBacktoSchool

Thank you to Guardian Technologies for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed below are my own.

Making your home a healthy environment for your family is a no-brainer. You carefully choose foods that provide healthy nutrition to your children and you work hard to remove pesky germs from surfaces day in and day out. Your home being your sanctuary is important to you, but have you stopped to question the purity of the air that you are breathing? The simplest but sometimes overlooked means of creating a healthy environment is making sure the air you and your loved ones are breathing is clean and where allergens and germs are a no longer a concern.

Keep Your Car Organized with the Meori Tailgate Carrier + Outdoor Box #Giveaway #MBPEndofSummer

Thank you to Meori for providing me with product in exchange for my review. All thoughts shared are my own.

Do you ever feel like you live in your car? Okay, maybe you don't feel like you actually live in your car, but you're on the go so much that it seems like you spend the majority of your time there. I feel like I'm in and out of my car all day long- from school drop off/pick up to running errands and everything in between, I spend a lot of time in my car. With two kids, it can sometimes be difficult to keep the car organized- especially the trunk. Depending on the day, I am usually carting everything from backpacks and lunch boxes to sports equipment, groceries, and music. The trunk can go from clean to a disaster zone in a matter of minutes! I've been in search of something to help me keep the trunk organized and decluttered, and I have finally found the perfect organizer!

September: Self Improvement Month

September is a month of awareness for many causes.  In observing my own actions, in-actions, and behaviors, I think one of the most important to me this September is self-improvement.  I want to practice letting go and spirituality.  Where can you self-improve?  What awareness month or cause means the most to you?

Keep Little Ones Organized this School Year with Stuck On You Backpacks, Labels & More + Backback # Giveaway ($50.00 RV)

Thanks so much to Stuck On You for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.

My kids have been back in school for a few weeks now. Big Bro B started school in mid-August (he's in 1st grade), and Baby S already has three weeks of Day School under her tiny belt. I never realized how much I would miss the summer. A lot of moms can't wait for their kids to go back to school, but I do miss mine when they're not home with me.A new school year means crazier than ever schedules, and many more demands made on dear old mom. I do my best to keep up with it all, using technology and other helpful tools, but I also stick to some tried and true old-school methods.

Make Delicious Gravy #TastyTipTuesday

I know I'm always trying to make a delicious gravy to go along with my mashed potatoes and especially if I'm making cubed steak.

I have finally been able to make some decent gravy using this method:

Chronic Childhood Illness Puts Pressure On Moms: Here's How To Cope

Having a child diagnosed with a chronic illness is a terrible experience for any parent. But even though the diagnosis might seem hopeless, there are many ways to cope and still get joy from life. Here’s what to do.

Tip #1: Adapt

People often use the term “human nature” without really thinking about what it means. Usually, it’s utilized in the context of a situation where a person has been greedy or malicious. But it turns out that the only real constant in human affairs is the ability to adapt. Our species is expert at it.

Math is Stylish with the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE #review #MBPBacktoSchool

Thank you to Texas Instruments for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared below are my own.

Texas Instruments is a well known name in many households.  I remember when I was in high school and I got to shop for my calculator for math class.  That was many, many years ago and I don't remember which style it was or what specific class I needed it for. But I do remember that it was not as fancy or as pretty as they are today.  I also didn't need it until high school and know they are on the middle school supply list.  Times have sure changed but Texas Instruments has changed along with that and are still there to provide what students need to succeed.

Momma, You Don't Have To Do It Alone!

If you're a Mother, you'll know all the different roles you have to play in order to juggle everything from work life, family life, and relationships. It's never easy, and although you may put on a brave face because, well, that's just what you do - it's important to know that you're not alone. When times get tough, and you start to feel overwhelmed, it's okay to take a break and ask for help! That doesn't make you weak or a 'bad Mother' - it makes you a human being.

So if you feel like you're barely able to stay above water - it's time to take a load off. Here's how you can do that.

What is the Role of Youth Sports?

Our youngest is almost twelve weeks old and I soon go back to work full-time as a teacher and she is struggling with bottle feeding. If I told you that I'm taking the transition well I would be lying. I am looking forward to a more consistent routine but despite our best efforts, I'm terrified that she is going to scream all day just wanting her momma.

Oska Pulse: A New Way to Manage Everyday Aches & Persistent Pain + Oska Pulse #Giveaway ($399.00 RV)

Thank you to Oska for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.

When I was in college, I slipped and fell, and blew my knee out- not once, but twice! At the time, the doctors weren't sure if I would need surgery, so they put me in a knee brace and immobilized me for six weeks after each injury. For years, my knee has given me trouble. I know that surgery is inevitable at this point, but with two little kids at home, being out of commission for a few weeks is out of the question. I've used over the counter medicines, topical creams, gels and sprays to try to manage the pain for years, and the pain just seems to be getting worse. My knee pain keeps me from doing things I enjoy, like hiking, certain types of exercise, etc. I've been looking for an easier way to manage the pain without medicines or surgery, and I think I've finally found the solution to my pain problem.

Enjoy an International Snacking Experience with MunchPak

Thank you to MunchPak for providing me with a complimentary box for my review. All thoughts are my own.

How do you like to snack? Do you ever find yourself in the mood for something sweet, salty, and maybe just a little bit different from the snacks that you normally reach for on the store shelves? Throughout my life, I've been known to graze, rather than eat large meals. It's just something that my family did when I was growing up. There was always food out to munch on, especially when we had family get-togethers. Snacking is just part of life for us, and we usually try to keep our snacks pretty healthy, but every now and then, we treat ourselves to something a little bit different. What if I told you that there's a simple way to discover tasty, interesting snacks from all over the world without ever having to leave home?

Dream Big

We all have at least one thing in common and that would be when we sleep we dream.  What we dream is something else entirely. Growing up we are told to dream big so we can set goals and work to achieve them.  As an adult, our dreams don't stop being big as our goals change over time.

Stylish Organic Cotton PJs for Baby & Beyond: Finn + Emma + PJ Set

Thank you to Finn + Emma for providing me with product in exchange for my review. All thoughts shared are my own.

With the changing seasons, my kids always outgrow their well-worn and well-loved pajamas. They love to be comfy and cozy, and my 6-year-old would spend all day in his PJs if I'd let him. Baby S is learning the art of comfortable lounging, and what it means to enjoy a comfortable sleep. Neither of my children are easy sleepers. They must sleep in total darkness with white noise, weighted blankets, and the perfect temperature. Let's just say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Learning to potty can be enjoyable! #PBS KIDS

Thank you to PBS for providing this product for review. All thoughts are 100% my own.

When my son was an infant he had "colic" and screamed for 20+ hours per day for 10 months. We finally found a doctor that gave us options and discovered he had acid reflux. After a week of treatment, we had a calm cuddly little boy for the first time since his birth.

Keep Your Pool Perfectly Balanced with pHin #review

Thank you to pHin for the product. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

For those of you who own a pool, you know that testing your water and maintaining your chemicals can be challenging.

I have been lucky enough to test out the pHin. This innovative product was created by Justin Miller and Mark Janes, both experienced and successful entrepreneurs. The pHin allows any pool owner to access the pool chemical information through a mobile device.

Easy Make & Freeze Breakfast Sandwiches

If mornings at your house are anything like mornings at mine, they're pretty crazy and you have little to no time to get everyone properly fed before you all have to be out the door and on your way to school, work, etc. I was spending so much time each morning, making different breakfast items for everyone, trying my best to make sure everyone got to eat something they liked... and then who would wind up not eating a proper meal? That's right, mom (i.e. me)! I finally wised up and decided to make a few freezable breakfast items that can be warmed in the microwave and eaten on the go. Our go-to breakfast meal is a sausage, egg & cheese English muffin sandwich. Easy to make, easy to freeze, and then easy to heat and eat- anywhere!

Get Your Little Ones In the Zone with the New Light ‘n Go 3-in-1 Sports Zone from Little Tikes!

Thank you to Little Tikes for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.

We've had some really cool and rainy days in the Carolinas lately. I don't usually expect fall to arrive this early, but honey, it sort of feels like fall to me. September is often one of the hottest months of the year for us, but it's been so cool outside that we've had to don jackets every morning this week. Chilly temps and rain often mean that we can't get outside to play, and that's usually a bit of a bummer both for me and the kids. They love having the opportunity to run around outside, kicking the soccer ball around, and I love the easy entertainment! I have a feeling that we might as well settle in for a long and cool fall and winter season. No worries about not being able to play outside, though- we've got the perfect solution, thanks to Little Tikes!

Balancing Work & Home Life as a Work at Home Mom

It's not something that rolls easily off the tongue... I'm a blogger, that's my job. It's a job that a lot of people don't understand, and it incorporates so many more roles than just writing. I'm a writer, an editor, a photographer, a team manager, a web administrator, a social media manager, and more! I don't work 'normal' work hours, as I work from home or on the go. My job as a blogger or influencer helps to pay the bills and allows our family to have a lot of wonderful experiences that we might not have otherwise. As awesome as blogging looks or sounds to others, it's also tough on me and on my family.

What is Love?

I think one falls in love in stages throughout their life.  People fall in love as kids and I call this puppy love.  Puppy love feels so real in the moment and it teaches you about yourself.  It teaches you what you want in a partner and what you are willing to compromise on to be with the one you love.

The Perfect Picnic Basket for Late Summer Adventures by D'Eco Housewares #MBPEndofSummer

Thank you to D'Eco for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.

My family loves to picnic. Well, I should say that my husband and I love to picnic. It's just one of those things that we did when we were growing up, and nothing ever sounded more fun to us than packing a picnic lunch, heading to the park, and spending time with our families. These days, it's hard to convince kids that anything other than looking at a screen is fun. We try our very best to limit screen time and make sure that we're spending quality time together as a family. When the weather is nice, taking a picnic lunch somewhere is always a go-to activity, and we have lots of picnics planned for the fall.

DIY Chalkboard Door Reading Tree!

This past Summer, I found myself with a rising Kindergartner and rising 1st grader. If you have had children pass through these ages then you will know exactly how important reading becomes! Everything else they do and learn as they get older will stem from this cognitive ability to read and comprehend. But let's be real a sec. Can we be real? My grammar gets lost when I get real apparently. Reading is NOT ALWAYS FUN. Let me rephrase that, LEARNING to read is not always fun. Selfishly, I imagined my children and I clumped together in a pile on the sofa, our noses in our own separate fantasies for hours on end. I love to read, so obviously they will also love to read... right?

Weekends with the Wigglesworths- This Mom Needs a Time Out!

Happy Saturday! Can you believe we are already half-way through September?!? We've been so busy running here, there, and (seemingly) everywhere, that I can hardly keep track of the date. I know I was a little mopey about our lack of activities during the summer, but now it appears there was a reason for our season of near tranquility.... it was the "quiet before the storm".

Do's and Don'ts When Choosing a Crib Mattress

Are you in need of a crib mattress? Shopping for a comfortable and safe mattress for your baby to be can be a bit tricky. Before you hit the road in search of a local big box baby gear store to find the perfect mattress, take some time and review the following helpful tips for buying a crib mattress.

Jumpstart Your Child's Education at Learning Steps Day Care & Preschool

This conversation is sponsored by Learning Steps Day Care & Preschool.

If you have little ones, you already know that sending them off to day care or preschool is a big decision and isn't to be taken lightly. There are many reasons to enroll a child in day care or preschool at an early age. My daughter is 17 months old, and my husband and I decided that we wanted to start her in school before the age her brother was when he started. We thought it would be better for her to get used to new surroundings, care givers, and social situations at a young age. Enrolling her in a local day school toddler class allows me to work from home, fully focused on my work two mornings a week. It also gives S the opportunity to enjoy playing with friends and learning from her wonderful teachers.

Build your imagination with Waffle Blocks!

Thank you to Little Tikes for providing product for me to review. All thoughts are 100% my own.

I grew up with an older brother and I never quite understood his fascination with building blocks. I was the annoying little sister that just enjoyed knocking them over. I would play with them occasionally but I much preferred my baby dolls and Polly Pocket.

Tubing the New River with Wahoo's Adventures! #daytrip

My family had never been tubing before and my Dad had the brilliant idea to go one Sunday last month while my niece and nephew were in town visiting.  I was a little worried about my parents tubing, especially my mom because she has problems with her feet and isn't a steady walker.  My Dad booked our trip with Wahoo's Advnetures and the kids were so excited! We arrived at Wahoo's ready to go.

Little Ones Learn Their Messy ABC's with Elmo & Friends + Personalized Book Bundle #Giveaway #MBPBacktoSchool

Thank you to Put Me In the Story for providing me with product in exchange for my review. All thoughts shared are my own.

Just as much as my older son B likes to read, Baby S loves to read, as well. Both of my children were read to before they even made their grand entrance into the world. B would sit next to me, and sweetly read stories to 'mommy's tummy' while I was pregnant with S. They come by their love for reading honestly, as their grandmother is the head of the History Room at our local library, and their great grandmother was also a librarian. Everyone in our family loves to read, and it brings a big smile to my lips when I see my kids reaching for books rather than toys or the remote controls for the TV.

Zen Band, An Innovative Headband with Built-in Headphones

It is said that music is calming, motivating, and encouraging when we need it to be.  I was introduced to Zen Band from our friends at Blooming Wellness and given the opportunity to try the product in exchange for my honest review.  All thoughts are my own.

My Pet, My Friend.

I have had many pets over the years, but I had two favorite pets as a child.  One, was my hamster, Mushroom.  She was the sweetest hamster.  She loved to run in her ball and would come if you called her name.  I was maybe 9 or 10 when she passed away and I can still remember the way it made me feel and how I reacted.  My dad had left a plastic bag too close to her cage and she nibbled on it and I think she choked on it. My mom wasn't home at the time, but I called her and was screaming and crying into the phone about how my dad killed Mushroom.  I was hysterical.  As an adult, I am terrified of hamsters and wouldn't welcome another one.  Is it odd that a loved pet from childhood would be intimidating as an adult?

New Series for Elementary & Middle Grade Readers: The Nocturnals + Book Set #Giveaway #MBPBacktoSchool

Thank you to Fabeled Films Press for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

One of my favorite ways to pass the time is to sit down and get lost in a really good book. Lately, I haven't had a lot of extra time to spend reading like I used to. Most of the reading I do anymore is with my kids. I am so thankful that both of my kids love books. Every night, we sit down for about half an hour before bedtime and read together. This is something that I started doing with B when he was just a baby, and we've carried on the tradition through the years. Sometimes I read to him, he reads to me, or he reads board books to his baby sister. I always look forward to our reading time together.

Creamy Crunchy Chicken Bake for Dinner Tonight! (Recipe and How-To)

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! It's mid-week and if you are anything like me, Friday is so close I can taste it! In the meantime, while we are still sitting over here on Wednesday, let's at least taste something delicious. I'm attempting to transfer this recipe from my head to something legible that other's can read and understand. I really want everyone to go make this. Now! Right now. If you're eating anything else for dinner tonight, you're missing out.

I think I've played it up enough now. Let's get to cooking!

Is There a Doctor in Your House? There Can Be With Little Medical School #Review

Thank you to Little Medical School for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared below are my own.

"Momma, I have a booboo!", am I the only one that hears this about 100 times a day? Thankfully most of these "booboos" are pretend; my daughters love to play doctor. Now that my oldest is 4, she's also becoming more inquisitive. She wants to learn everything she can about her ever-growing interests. Sometimes moms need a little help answering "why?".

Protect Your Eyes with REKS Sunglasses #review #giveaway

Thanks to Reks for the sunglasses to review.  All opinions shared are my own.

I wear sunglasses every time I am outside, even when the sun isn't bright.  I have always had very sensitive eyes and am squinting even on cloudy days.  I'm always on the lookout for stylish sunglasses that also are comfortable to wear for long periods of time.  Reks sent me two pairs of their sunglasses and they have become my new favorites.

The Importance of Making Time for Your Spouse

Last weekend, my hubby and I had the pleasure of attending a wedding together. One of Sacha's buddies from high school and college finally found the girl of his dreams, and we were overjoyed to celebrate such a wonderful day with them. After we sent in our RSVP for the wedding a few months ago, Sacha's friend said, 'We'll be so excited to see you, and we're really looking forward to meeting your kids!' After Sacha told me this, I felt slightly guilty. You see, we had already decided not to bring the kids along to the wedding.
