Mommy's Block Party

Welcome to Mommy's Block Party! I am Ondria- wife to Sacha and mommy to 'B' (8), and  Bean (3). I am thirty-something years old and passionately manage Mommy's Block Party and care for my spunky kids. I'm a coffee addict, enjoy Pilates, and music of all genres. I love organizing, arranging, cleaning, decorating, cooking and doing just about anything that makes a dwelling place an enjoyable home for families.

I began Mommy's Block Party in 2011 after I became a mom. I wanted a way to connect moms with the brands & products they've been using for years, and to those they may not even know of. As parents, we want the best for our families, and MBP aims to share honest reviews about products, services, attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and more so our readers can make informed decisions when it comes to what they spend their hard earned money on. Through the years, we've become a trusted source for information surrounding household products, fashion & beauty, travel, food & beverages, project ideas, fitness, and more. We believe in 'word of mom' advertising- online & offline. Mommy's Block Party offers various ways to connect consumers with brands & fun opportunities for families, including:

Product Reviews & Sponsored Giveaways
Travel, Entertainment, Restaurant Reviews
Business Directory & Social Media Advertising
Sponsored Posts
Brand Ambassadorship
Press Release Publication
and more.

Fun Facts...

I enjoy freelance writing, and also blog at PROMOSPRO.

I'm married to a wonderful man, Sacha (AKA- Aleksandr), who is a graduate of The University of Maryland School of Music, with an MM- specializing in bass trombone performance.
We are both extremely active in serving at our church- St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. It is like a second home to both of us (it's where we met & became friends in the youth group over 15 years ago), and we spend a lot of time there during the week... and on the weekends.

We're new to the parenting thing... so come along on our journey as we laugh, cry & experience the ups and downs of parenthood together.

Sr. Contributor

Hello! I am Vanessa, wife to Matthew and mommy to 2 amazing young ladies Drew (10) and Reese (6 years). I wear many hats, as most moms do. I am a wife and mother first, Avon representative, and most recently an Avon District Assistant. I volunteer at my oldest daughter’s school for the Parent Teacher Group (as a secretary) and pretty much any other activity they ask me to. I love being with my children, and I am one of those parents that enjoy early dismissals, school vacations, and snow days. I also really enjoy cooking and baking, and luckily it’s an activity both of our girls love too, our 10-year-old has even talked of opening a restaurant one day!

My husband is currently working for a local electrical company and is back in school to become an electrician. We have been a “we” since high school, were married in 2002, welcomed our first daughter in 2007, and her little sister in 2012! We have been blessed with infinitely more than we could have ever asked for or dreamed of!

I am quite giddy to work with MBP and am looking forward to connecting with all of you!

Hello... I'm Penny and I am so excited to be joining you at Mommy's Block Party.  My husband, Chris and I have a 10-year-old son, Aiden.  I have lived in Salisbury my whole life and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.  I am in my 17th year of teaching Kindergarten.  I love all things, Kids!!  I am also the After School Director and Summer Camp Director at my school.  I teach Sunday School and help with our Wednesday programs for Children at my church.  I have been blessed in my life to watch so many children grow and learn.  It's amazing to look back and see what they have and are accomplishing.  Reading is a passion of mine that I don't enjoy as much as I would like.  I also just learned to crochet and am busy "pulling strings" to make my little boy a blanket. I am looking forward to getting to know you through Mommy's Block Party.

I am a 30-something-year-old mom of one teenage son of 18 and a stepmother to a 16-year-old girl. I don't believe in the term stepmom and consider her my daughter. I just celebrated my 8 year anniversary with my husband. I am currently attending college for my master's degree in psychology.

Well, hi. I’m Karla Adler, mother to Hendrix (born September 2015). My husband, Jon, and I are so thrilled to have Hendrix in our lives now. I’m 30 years young and every day I’m more grateful than the last. I’m formally a teacher to middle school and high school children. After having Hendrix, I couldn’t bear to leave him to return to teaching. My days are filled with laughter, chasing around my little boy, and lots of smiles.

Other than spending time with Jon and Hendrix, I enjoy reading, listening to music, swimming, and Zumba. Hendrix is a mover! He loves to crawl, walk with anything he can, read books, swim, play, and make others laugh. Did I mention he already has a shared basketball love with my husband? Go Boilers!

I’m blessed to be a part of this group and very much enjoy sharing my experiences with all of you.

Hey, everyone! I'm so thrilled to be joining this team of amazing ladies! I would love to tell you a little bit about myself and share some of my little slice of heaven on earth, with you. I am a passionate person about the things that matter most to me: my faith, my "people" and my purpose. The goal is to have all three of these things flow together in harmony and live a peaceful, meaningful life! The more you get to know me through this blog, you may come to know my journey has not always been filled with butterflies and rainbows and in fact, you may find we can relate to one another in more ways than one. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have been blessed to be his wife for over 13 years. God has given us two stellar little guys who are 6 and 5. I know. I've asked myself that very same question more than once, but as it turns out, what we were THINKING is they would be best friends and they actually are! We have two little dogs and if it were only up to me, we would probably double as a zoo. I LOVE animals and have specific interests in this area but this just got boring so moving on! I love all things art whether it be painting, creating, singing, theater, movies, music, and the list truly goes on. I was born and raised in Maryland but am happy to be a Carolinian now as both of my sons were born here! I think I was always a southern girl at heart. I have a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology and this field has taken me down an interesting road. I have been a teacher, a guidance counselor, an early intervention therapist, and a tutor but best to date? MOMMY. As overused as this idea is, I really do mean it and currently, life finds me in the role I was born to play which is to be a stay at home mom to my two sons, homemaker to our new plantation home and wife to the guy who gives me wings. I hope we can be friends and I hope you will be blessed!

I’m a 33-year-old wife and Momma to two under two! You read that right, I’m a little crazy, I know! My little love, Charleigh Mae will be two the end of March and my littlest love, Millie Beau is three months old. My husband, Ben and I were friends in high school and have been together since we left for college at 18. We couldn’t be more opposite of each other, but you know what they say, opposites attract! We have been married for a little over 3 years! I am a graduate of Western Carolina University with a B.S. in Sociology with a concentration in Child Life. When I’m not chasing after a toddler or juggling 2 babes on my hips, I am happily working part-time at my church, First United Methodist, as the Director of Children’s Ministry. My faith is very important to me and I love my job! I feel very fortunate to be able to share and spread the joy and love of Christ to others! I love traveling, going on dates with my husband, spending time with my family, being crafty, playing with my kiddos & dog {She’s my first child and is a five-year-old Great Dane mix} and spreading joy to others! This life we live can be crazy at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I look forward to contributing to Mommy’s Block Party and getting to know you!

I'm a wife and, as of the beginning of 2019, a new mom to my son, who we affectionately call "Little Bear" after his Grandfather, "Bear" Bruner.  I am also a puppy and kitty mom to two rescued pets.  I am a life-long Carolinian (North and South) and a graduate of UNC Charlotte; Go Niners!

In the real world, I am an in-house attorney for a Long-Term Care Company and, while I love my work, my true passions are my family, my faith, and traveling (no specific order and I think it's the best when I can find ways to enjoy all three at once).
It is my hope and prayer that my passion for my family and faith are apparent to anyone who meets me; and as for traveling, you'll probably have to get to know me a little bit better before you see that one, but I passionately believe that the world is like a book and that you have to travel to see more than the first page.  You can read about some of my journeys over on my travel blog: internationalshoes.wordpress.com
