Ondria Witt, CEO
Mommy's Block Party

Welcome to Mommy's Block Party! I am Ondria- wife to Sacha and mommy to 'B' (12), Bean (6), and Baby C (15 mo). I am thirty-something years old and passionately manage Mommy's Block Party and care for my spunky kids. I'm a coffee addict and enjoy Pilates, and music of all genres. I love organizing, arranging, cleaning, decorating, cooking, and doing just about anything that makes a dwelling place an enjoyable home for families.

I began Mommy's Block Party in 2011 after I became a mom. I wanted a way to connect moms with the brands & products they've been using for years, and to those, they may not even know of. As parents, we want the best for our families, and MBP aims to share honest reviews about products, services, attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and more so our readers can make informed decisions when it comes to what they spend their hard-earned money on. Through the years, we've become a trusted source for information surrounding household products, fashion & beauty, travel, food & beverages, project ideas, fitness, and more. We believe in 'word of mom' advertising- online & offline. Mommy's Block Party offers various ways to connect consumers with brands & fun opportunities for families, including:

Product Reviews & Sponsored Giveaways
Travel, Entertainment, Restaurant Reviews
Business Directory & Social Media Advertising
Sponsored Posts

Brand Ambassadorship
Press Release Publication
and more.

Fun Facts...

I enjoy freelance writing, and also blog at PROMOSPRO.

I'm married to a wonderful man, Sacha (AKA- Aleksandr), who is a graduate of The University of Maryland School of Music, with an MM- specializing in bass trombone performance.
We are both extremely active in serving at our church- St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. It is like a second home to both of us (it's where we met & became friends in the youth group over 15 years ago), and we spend a lot of time there during the week... and on the weekends.

We're new to the parenting thing... so come along on our journey as we laugh, cry & experience the ups and downs of parenthood together.

Vanessa Wigglesworth, Sr. Contributor

Hello! I am Vanessa, wife to Matthew and mommy to 2 amazing young ladies Drew (10) and Reese (6 years). I wear many hats, as most moms do. I am a wife and mother first, Avon representative, and most recently an Avon District Assistant. I volunteer at my oldest daughter’s school for the Parent Teacher Group (as a secretary) and pretty much any other activity they ask me to. I love being with my children, and I am one of those parents that enjoy early dismissals, school vacations, and snow days. I also really enjoy cooking and baking, and luckily it’s an activity both of our girls love too, our 10-year-old has even talked of opening a restaurant one day!

My husband is currently working for a local electrical company and is back in school to become an electrician. We have been a “we” since high school, were married in 2002, welcomed our first daughter in 2007, and her little sister in 2012! We have been blessed with infinitely more than we could have ever asked for or dreamed of!

I am quite giddy to work with MBP and am looking forward to connecting with all of you!

Hey, everyone! I'm so thrilled to be joining this team of amazing ladies! I would love to tell you a little bit about myself and share some of my little slice of heaven on earth, with you. I am a passionate person about the things that matter most to me: my faith, my "people" and my purpose.

The goal is to have all three of these things flow together in harmony and live a peaceful, meaningful life! The more you get to know me through this blog, you may come to know my journey has not always been filled with butterflies and rainbows and in fact, you may find we can relate to one another in more ways than one.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and have been blessed to be his wife for over 13 years. God has given us two stellar little guys who are 6 and 5. I know. I've asked myself that very same question more than once, but as it turns out, what we were THINKING is they would be best friends and they actually are! We have two little dogs and if it were only up to me, we would probably double as a zoo. I LOVE animals and have specific interests in this area but this just got boring so moving on!

I love all things art whether it be painting, creating, singing, theater, movies, music, and the list truly goes on. I was born and raised in Maryland but am happy to be a Carolinian now as both of my sons were born here! I think I was always a southern girl at heart. I have a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology and this field has taken me down an interesting road. I have been a teacher, a guidance counselor, an early intervention therapist, and a tutor but best to date? MOMMY.

As overused as this idea is, I really do mean it and currently, life finds me in the role I was born to play which is to be a stay at home mom to my two sons, homemaker to our new plantation home and wife to the guy who gives me wings. I hope we can be friends and I hope you will be blessed!

Susan Jackson, Contributor

Hi Everyone! I currently reside in Wilmington, NC, where I spend my days figuring out how to impact the lives of children, youth, and their families serving as a youth director at St. Paul's Lutheran church.

I am passionate about my undergrad institution, Lenoir- Rhyne University, including LR Football, the A Capella Choir, and its alumni program. While I don't consider myself a history buff, I like learning about the past history, culture, and people of the places I travel too. Wilmington is full of history and I'm still learning lots of it!

Some of my favorite places to visit include Vero Beach, FL, Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and all things related to NC/SC coastal towns. My travel addiction has also led me to be a Disney addict, and I one day would love to go to the resort in Hawaii! When I'm not chasing leading children/ teens in programming, I try to take time to read, bake, or visit the beach. I look forward to sharing life with you!

Angela Galloway, Tech Support/Contributor

Hi! I am Angela Galloway. I am super excited to be a part of Mommy’s Block Party! I am married to an amazing man that loves me in spite of my flaws and we have three amazingly unique children, 20, 18, and 14.

I grew up a preacher's kid and fell in love with Jesus at an early age. In my adult years, I have been a daycare teacher, preschool director, homeschool mom, elementary teacher, and Montessori guide. I am so thankful for the blessings of watching young minds learn. My hubby is a teacher too but on the college level teaching history and humanities.

We, as a family, have been on quite the adventure through some high highs and some low lows. Through it all, I learned what it truly means to love my children unconditionally and to encourage them to live their lives authentically.

We enjoy cooking, movies, playing games, graphic design, and traveling. My favorite things are my faith, my family, my friends, coffee, eating good food, and photography. I look forward to sharing my passions with you.

Hi all! I am Alicia Carpenter! I have been married to my husband Caleb for 7 years and we share two children - (6) and (4).

Although I currently reside in Salisbury, NC, I have lived all over the country for the past 10 years- New York City, Nebraska, and back to North Carolina, the state where I was raised. I love learning about and taking part in different cultures I am immersed in wherever I go, but I especially enjoy the food I am introduced to as I explore!

I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Forensic Science and a concentration in Biology. Although I’ve never worked in my field of study, I get to teach forensic science (along with biology and math) in a local Christian high school.

My family and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen baking and cooking together. Making memories are my favorite as I am grateful for any I get to share with my little people. I treasure the close relationship we have and savor every moment, for I know time is a gift, but also passes too quickly.

I’m excited for the opportunity to share my life and experiences with you all through Mommy’s Block Party!
