Just as much as my older son B likes to read, Baby S loves to read, as well. Both of my children were read to before they even made their grand entrance into the world. B would sit next to me, and sweetly read stories to 'mommy's tummy' while I was pregnant with S. They come by their love for reading honestly, as their grandmother is the head of the History Room at our local library, and their great grandmother was also a librarian. Everyone in our family loves to read, and it brings a big smile to my lips when I see my kids reaching for books rather than toys or the remote controls for the TV.

As much as I loved this wonderful book, I couldn't wait for S to see it. We sat down to read it together, and as soon as she saw Elmo, she was hooked! We spent several minutes just looking at the colorful book cover, before opening up the book and looking through the pages.
S recognized herself right away from the personalized photo in the book. She immediately pointed to her picture and said 'Bean,' very proudly.
As we turned the pages, we enjoyed looking at the pictures, speaking the names of Sesame Street friends, and learning our ABC's. S already speaks pretty well, and is starting to put together some simple sentences, so this book is a wonderful tool for us to use in continuing to teach her the alphabet.
