Dry Cleaning at Home is a Breeze with Dryel

This is a sponsored conversation on behalf of Dryel. I received both product and compensation in exchange for sharing my honest thoughts and opinions.

I have a confession to make. I have a large cloth bag that hangs in my laundry room, near my washing machine. It's a bag that is specifically for dry clean only clothing. The bag is nearly filled to the top with pricey clothing pieces. It's sort of like the bag that time forgot. I get so caught up in doing my family's laundry (almost a load a day!), that I completely forget about those delicate pieces that need to be dry-cleaned. I'm already busy enough during the week, and the last thing I want to have to worry about is dropping off and picking up dry cleaning.

Around The Clock Family Safety

For every single family out there, safety is their number one worry. And I’m sure that is the same for yours as well! Parents always put their kids first and ensure that they are always safe around the clock. No matter what time of the day it is, parents always want to know what their kids are up to, to ensure their safety.

Because of this, I thought it would be a nice idea to put together a few quick tips on how you can always improve your family’s safety around the clock. Here are a few quick ideas.

Our Disney Adventure! #travel

Traveling with a Toddler

So...we had a rough start as we missed our first flight. We didn't hear our alarms and there were so many spring breakers in front of us at the check-in counter, there was no way. We all tried our best and I ran to the gate, but it was too late. Luckily, we were able to board a flight later in the morning to Baltimore then catch a flight to Orlando.

Incorporate Color On A Budget This Spring

We're constantly looking for ways to improve our homes. Now that it’s Spring time it seems fitting that we should be filling out homes with color. Color is a great way to add some much-needed warmth, atmosphere, and personality to a room. The great thing about brightening up a space is that you can do it on a budget. Here’s how...

Look Trendy without Being Spendy this Spring in JJ Boutique

Thank you to Maria Himes for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

It's springtime, and there's a change in the air! I absolutely love fashion, and love sharing about adorable boutique finds. As much as I love boutique looks, I don't usually love boutique price tags. With a family to provide for, it just doesn't fit my budget to be hitting the local boutiques every weekend. Every now and then, I like to debut a new look, and spring is the perfect time to add some new pieces to my wardrobe. If I can do it without spending a ton of money for a complete outfit, or pieces to mix and match, even better!

Disney Playdate Unboxing Video #DisneyKids

Thank you to Mom Select for the opportunity to host a 2017 Disney Kids Disney Playdate. All thoughts shared are my own.

We are thrilled to have been chosen to host a #DisneyKids Playdate in April! We're actually headed to Disney for the first time as a family this summer, and cannot wait! We're kicking things off by hosting our own Disney Playdate for B and his pals in April. We were sent a whole big box of magical goodies for our playdate, and created a little unboxing video to show all of the cool things we got for the party.

Take the School Breakfast Challenge #review #nationalbreakfastweek

National School Breakfast Week was March 6-10.
Breakfast before school is very important in our house.  I don't have time to cook a big one every morning, but I do make sure that Aiden has a healthy start to each day.  We received some wonderful additions to our breakfast and have been enjoying them in the mornings.  I hope you will check them out and that your family starts each day with a healthy breakfast!

How to Compromise On a Car with Your Teen

Have a new teen driver under your roof? It'a a bittersweet time in every parent's life when their 'baby' becomes a licensed driver. They've grown up right before your eyes, and now they are ready to assume the huge responsibility of driving on their own. While it's likely to cause anxiety for parents, all the teen wants to do is to get out on the road, preferably in their own set of wheels. Both parents and teens have an idea about what the teen's first car should be. Rather than winding up in an argument with your teen, think about what type of car you think would be a wise choice for your new driver, and be ready to have a conversation with your child to help them understand your reasoning.

Perfect Event Invitations from Printable Candee + $15.00 Etsy Credit #Giveaway

Thank you to Printable Candee for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinion shared are my own.

It's almost time to celebrate! Baby S is turning ONE on April 4th, and we're so excited to be hosting a fun birthday party for her this Saturday. I knew months ago that I wanted to have a purple butterfly themed party for S. I started pinning ideas for decor and food before Christmas, and have spent the past few weeks getting everything in order for this beautiful party. Everyone knows that the first step to hosting a party is to choose your theme. After you've chosen the theme and have worked out the details, it's time to choose the perfect invitation for your special event.

Stuff Those Easter Baskets with Welch's Fruit Snacks #Review #MBPEGG17

Aiden loves fruit snacks and was very excited to receive this package in the mail.  These fruit snacks from Welch's are Spring/Easter snacks.   They have Easter shaped fruit snacks....bunnies, flowers, eggs and chicks.  They are really cute.  I love how convenient these are for a quick snack or lunch box item.  They are 45 calorie packs and we use them as a dessert or special snack.  They would be super cute tucked into a child's Easter basket.

Trimming the Family Budget

Did you know that the cost of raising just one child in the USA is approximately $227,000 from birth until 18 years of age? That’s a staggering amount of money, which will put a strain on any parent’s finances and is a sound reason why we should all look to put out house in order and trim any excess from our family budgets.

Spice Up Your Night with Ginger Chicken #Recipe

A mom always on the run?  Healthy dinners few and far between?  This is me.  With a full-time job, traveling to and from my day totals more than 11 hours outside of my house Monday through Friday.  I detest boxed meals because I know they are unhealthy, but from time to time they are my go to.  My New Year's Resolution was to change our eating habits in my house, but not go with bland tasteless food.  To find new recipes, I have taken to Facebook, the Internet, and apps on my kindle and phone to help.  I found one for ginger chicken which is absolutely delicious and feel the need to share.

New Season, New Home Décor

There is a sense of renewal that comes with each spring. When nature itself is growing back, people often feel inspired to do the same. Whether it is a change of wardrobe or a new hairstyle, spring is associated with a new identity. It’s a natural feeling that is generally linked to the subtle changes that happens in our garden: Trees in blossoms, little birds building their nest, the first butterflies flying above the flowers, the garden is having a subtle spring makeover. And people want to change the décor in their wardrobe, in their home, and also a little bit in their garden too to tame all this reborn nature. Here are the trends in home and garden décor to look for this season so that your new décor can remain fashionable and charming.

How to Save for Your Dream Car

Is it your dream to own an expensive car one day? You might feel like your dream car is just that... a car that appears in your dreams, one that you're never destined to own or even drive. There are several ways that you can curb your spending, and save up for the car of your dreams. Those fun daydreams of driving a sports car by the ocean can easily become a reality if you're willing to make some sacrifices and work for your dream. You can purchase the car of your dreams without going into major debt.

A Slice of Pie! #actsofkindness

We were recently at the beach and had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Hoskins. They have delicious food (look for it in my beach restaurant review coming soon) and their desserts are out of this world.  I hear about acts of kindness happening all the time, but I don't witness it often.  There was an older couple and a single lady at the table next to ours.  They were finishing up with their meal and the waitress came out and asked if they would like dessert.  It was chocolate pie.

Go Big Or Go Home This Spring Break!

A lot of parents absolutely love the prospect of the upcoming Spring Break. School can be so difficult on kids with the pressures of homework and social hierarchy, so the time off is a time to breathe. For parents, it’s a time to get stuck into some quality time with their children that they don’t often get due to their own jobs and lives outside the home. The kids are also always excited for the prospect of no school, no homework and no teachers for a week and it truly depends on the age of the children as to what you get up to with them on their time off. Older teens sometimes prefer to sleep the days away and relax in the privacy of their bedrooms. Younger kids tend to need continued stimulation to burn off that childish energy.

Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Going to School on the Weekend

Happy Saturday!

Our week was pretty hectic, but we made it to the weekend, and I am so glad about it. This weekend, both D and I will be heading to school. I'll be taking a Coupon Class at a local middle school today and D will be heading to her school for an all-day play rehearsal tomorrow.

I am hoping that at some point during our weekend, we will be able to rearrange the living room a bit. We are still working on moving our old entertainment center. We have no idea what we are doing with it (since it is so large), so it has just been sitting in the same spot, even though the television has long been moved to its new spot. I do have an idea for the space, once it is moved, so I hope it happens sooner rather than later!

IKEA hack! Billy bookcases turned cubbies!:
Matt's cousin, the ridiculously talented Suzanne, used Billy Bookcases from IKEA to set up these awesome cubbies. I have been pretty much OBSESSED with the idea since I saw her picture.

Who Is The Father Of Kailyn Lowry's Baby?

After “Teen Mom” star Kailyn Lowry's surprise pregnancy announcement last week, fans have been reeling, trying to figure out who the father of the baby could possibly be. We already know that it is not her ex Jo, who is the father of 7-year-old Issac, or her ex Javi, who is the father of 3-year-old Lincoln. Javi and Kailyn divorced only a few months ago, and we haven't seen her out with a new man, so fans have been busy with some super sleuthing to try to figure out the possibilities.

Meet Your Child's New Favorite Treat: TEDDY Soft Bakes! #MBPEGG17

Thank you to TEDDY for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

What kinds of snacks do your kids like? My son has inherited his mom's sweet tooth, and at the moment, he's like a bottomless pit. When he gets home from school, he wants a snack... and then maybe one or two more until dinner is ready. He's a growing boy, and he's the tallest kid in his kindergarten class. I want to give him wholesome snacks that are made with real ingredients, and that he'll really enjoy.

Travel Tips [wanted]

My husband, daughter and I will be taking our first family of three vacation together in May of this year! Our little girl will be 8 months old when we go on our trip, so I know I will need to be prepared in all kinds of ways! Because, let's face it... she's super cute but girlfriend is needy! (And do I ever love being her mommy and providing for all those needs!!)
Our Super Cute Girl

We have decided to travel to Washington DC for a couple of reasons.  First of all, it has been on our list for a while because my husband has not been since he was a child.  Secondly, I feel like it is a great place to travel with a baby because there are a lot of things to do for free! And if an afternoon goes south in a hurry due to a nap protesting 8-month old, we don't have to feel bad, or like we wasted any money on buying tickets to whatever we have planned!

The White House, Washington DC
So, not having ever traveled with a baby, we would love some advice! What are the must bring essentials to make baby and momma and daddy's trip enjoyable?

I know for certain I will have my breast pump, Tula baby carrier, stroller, and diapers.  We usually cloth diaper, however I think we will use disposables for our trip.

Being able to wear Ruby in our Tula will be really convenient walking around DC!

Breast Pump = Must Take

As you can tell, by my extensive list of 4 items, I am super prepared for this upcoming adventure! This is why I am coming to Mommy's Block Party to ask for some guidance! Any help would be much appreciated! I would also love to hear about your favorite things to do in Washington DC!

Washington DC

So help a momma out in the comments below!

I will write about our adventures and let you all know how it goes after our trip in May! Thanks for your help!

*All photos except the second (super cute baby shot) are NOT my originals and were found on Google*

Going For Baby Walkers At a Reliable Price Is A Smart Move

Bringing up a baby and making them learn each and everything starting from how they should crawl, eat, potty training, walking etc. invokes in a lot of effort. When the baby starts to crawl normally by the age of 6 months or so, it kind of becomes hard to make them stay or sit at a place. Babies tend to move around the house and they just do not feel like staying idle.

Renovation Revelations: Things To Be Aware of When Restoring a Property

Looking to achieve your dream home? Buying a cheap, run down property which has potential and then doing it up yourself is a good way to go about it. You can transform it into anything you want, and have a say over everything from the layout to the finishes. It’s far cheaper than buying a house that’s ‘move in ready’ so you’ll get more for your money. Or perhaps you’re looking to get in property, ‘flipping houses’ can be very lucrative, and done well can seriously line your pockets. However, renovating isn’t without its risks. Not only do you need to have patience and creative vision when working on transforming a home, but properties (especially older ones can) contain all kinds of hidden secrets. These issues than can put a dent in your budget or even cause you to lose money overall. Here are some of the common issues to watch out for when you’re renovating a property.

Extend the Life of Your Batteries with Batteroo #review

Do you feel like there is always something that needs new batteries?  I sure do.  I am so excited to learn about Batteroo and try them out in my house.  This could be a game changer for us! Batteroo is a battery booster.  Batteroo is a reusable sleeve for your disposable batteries.  It will extend the life of your battery.  It seems like the battery in the Xbox controls dies every other week, so I am super excited to see how long they last with the Batteroo sleeve on them.  I am also using Batteroo on all of our TV remotes.  I received a package of AA and AAA Batteroos.  They have been on my disposable batteries for a little over a week, so I will update you on the success of them.  However, I did read some other reviews on them and I hope I have the same success that I read about.

All parents want their children to be safe, which is why the car buying process can often cause headaches. The good news is that it doesn't have to cause headaches or stress. There are many ways to help narrow down your choices to help you make the right decision for your family when it comes to buying a new car.

Gooey Crock Pot Chicken & Noodles #Recipe

Last week, I was desperate for a quick meal that I could make in my trusty crock pot. I rely on the crock pot at least once a week for a meal that I really don't have to think about, and that I can leave cooking at home when we're going to be home late. I didn't have time to go grocery shopping for additional ingredients and needed to use what I had in the pantry and fridge. I grabbed some chicken, and a few other simple food staples, and concocted a deliciously creamy, cheesy chicken and noodle dish that the whole family loved!
