Where are my curly, wavy haired friends today? I'm here with my hand raised too and as much as I love my curls, more often than not they are so unruly that I prefer to straighten my hair.
I've been straightening my hair long before flat irons were a thing. When I was younger, I used curling irons to take the curl OUT of my hair!
After years and years of heat exposure, I'm so excited to use a new tool that is not going to cause more damage to my hair.

You'll notice it says you will not have to use as high of a heat setting to achieve the same result. This is very true. In the past, I have had to crank the heat to the max just to get through my hair. With the Chi Volcanic Lava flat iron, I can lower the heat which helps to protect my hair from damage.
Achieving this look did not take long at all. I use big clips and clip up portions of hair, leaving small sections to straighten. Because the flat iron is so effective, I did not have to go over and over the same section of hair! I think I'm going to be quite spoiled now.

ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of getting a flat iron for a while now. It would be nice straighten my hair sometimes. This looks excellent! I like that you don't have to turn the heat setting up as high.
