Are you ready for a double dose of sweetness? As any mother would be, I am partial to my children. Their sweet smiles just light up my day in a way that nothing else can. For five and a half years, I was a boy mom, and though it was challenging at times, I truly loved every moment of life with my precious boy. When we decided to have another baby, I was convinced that I was destined to be a boy mom, and honestly prepared myself for our OBGYN to announce 'boy' when our baby's gender was revealed. Imagine my surprise and delight when I found out that we were having a baby girl!

I had always dreamed of having a sweet girl to call my own. The thought of sharing sweet mother/daughter moments made me want a girl all the more. Baby S gave us a scare a few weeks before she was born when the doctors noticed an irregular heartbeat at a routine checkup. Today, I have two absolutely beautiful and healthy children, and I don't go a single day without thanking the Lord for entrusting me with such precious gifts.

Every day with Baby S is a blast. She's a playful girl, and I adore her. Being able to dress her up is just one of the things I love about having a girl. No mom wants to see her little girl growing up too quickly, though, and one of the ways that I protect my sweet girl's innocence is by dressing her in age-appropriate, modest styles that are timeless. We were recently introduced to the whimsically sweet styles of Matilda Jane Clothing by our friend Amie Wargo, an Independent Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper.

Amie sent us some super sweet Matilda Jane styles to enjoy this fall, and we have loved wearing them so much! I am so in love with Matilda Jane that I want to dress S is every style that they have available for babies/toddlers! A playful match made in heaven- adorable mix and match pieces for babies and girls that compliment styles for moms!

S and I haven't done a lot of matching or coordinating styles. I have tried to match outfits and coordinate styles for family photos, and it's been a thing of nightmares every single time. Matilda Jane makes it so easy to effortlessly coordinate outfits for babies, toddlers, girls, and women. The above photo, S and I are wearing the Hold the Key Dress (me) and the Under the Leaves Dress (S).

This dress is so darn cute! It's a beautiful green color, perfect for this time of the year. It has beautiful ruffle details in a coordinating lavender trim. The sweet little rosettes across the bodice pull in the green, lavender and blue. This dress comes with a sweet diaper cover, as well. S has worn the dress with the diaper cover and tights, and she has also worn it with a pair of denim jeggings. This has quickly become a favorite of mine in Baby S' wardrobe. She actually wore the dress all day without a single complaint. She never once got hung up in the skirt when playing, which means that she can wear this for every day, rather than just to church or for a special occasion. This is also easy to wash and wear, which is a huge plus for moms- or anyone who tackles lots of laundry during the week. S is wearing an 18-24 mo size. She's 19 months, and this dress runs true to size. She even has a little bit of room to continue to grow into it.

She'll be feeling right at home in the fall foliage in the Under the Leaves Dress. This empire-waist dress features a deep green solid knit, a twirl-ready skirt, and long sleeves. Flower details and purple lined ruffles make this dress really pop.

A sweet blue hue with delicate details: Matilda Jane's Hold the Key Dress

I love fashion so much. When I was a young adult, I enjoyed coordinating my outfits for the week, matching apparel to shoes and accessories. There's an art to it, and I found it quite enjoyable. I don't have a lot of extra time on my hands these days, so I tend to go with styles that are modest and appropriate for a 34-year-old mom of two. I also need styles that look great, stay with current fashion trends, and are easy to wear. After all, I am still running after a toddler most of the day.

Matilda Jane's women's clothing is just incredible. Not only is each piece beautifully sweet, each is designed in a way that's demure, as well as figure flattering. There isn't any guesswork when it comes to Matilda Jane. The clothing doesn't need to play up or down too much- just add pieces that accentuate your personal style, and you're good to go, whether the road takes you to work, the playground, to church, or just leads you to the living room where you enjoy time with your family.

I love the Hold the Key Dress. It's simple, it's feminine, and it fits my style. The half sleeve is perfect for this time of year. I love the bubble that the sleeve creates- it's definitely a unique look. The top of the dress has a cute little keyhole that buttons closed. The dress is comfortable to wear all day- perfect for chasing after my kids. This simple and sweet style features a beautiful lace trim. I'm going to be wearing this dress all year long. The twirly skirt makes me feel like a girl again... it has a youthful, yet womanly feel, which I love! I am wearing this dress is a size small.

We've fallen for these perfect Mommy/Daughter fall dresses from Matilda Jane!

For as much as I love the look of the first two styles I showed you, I am just in love with these next two. Baby S and I have been having so much fun coordinating outfits, and Matilda Jane makes it so much fun to do so! The way that we wound up matching in the Intermission Dress and Through the Trees Dress was so cute! We received a lot of compliments on our matching dresses, and it made me want to shop Matilda Jane all the more!

Play and snack time at home is sweet and fun in the Through the Trees Dress.

When Baby S wore the Through the Trees Dress for the first time, everyone went crazy over it. Everyone loved the adorable print of the skirt and the coordinating upper pieces of the dress. More than one lady commented, 'Well, you have your fall colors on, don't you!?' Indeed- this is the perfect fall dress for your sweet little darlings! The dress brings that fall feel with the brown background and sweet trees design. The dress features so many different colors, it's incredibly easy to coordinate pieces you might already own. We paired the dress with a yellow sweater and a pair of new shoes that I was excited for S to finally be able to wear. The upper part of the dress features lavender, blue, and white.

Baby S loves this precious dress. It's lined and gives her ample room to move around and play while wearing it. I've washed it per directions, and have hung it up to dry with no problems. We plan on this being S' special Thanksgiving Day dress. It's the perfect touch for a special day spent with family and friends. S is wearing the Through the Trees Dress in a size 18-24 mo. The dress also comes with a coordinating diaper cover in the blue, lavender and white print.

Autumn is synonymous with the changing colors of the leaves. The Through the Trees Dress embodies the season with a print of lovely colorful trees. This sweet style features an empire seam and A-line silhouette.

The Intermission Dress is my favorite fall must-have dress!

This is my husband's favorite look from Matilda Jane that I have tried thus far. The Intermission Dress is where it's at! This A-line style is perfect for every gal- and it's a style that I love. The damask print is perfect for fall with a brown background and hints of blues, orange, mustard, burgundy, etc. And the crochet lace detail is amazing- it's detailed throughout the dress, and again on the sleeves. It makes this funky dress look so incredibly sweet. I paired the Intermission Dress with my favorite fall boots and leather and pearl jewelry. Easy peasy. The dress is fun and busy in the print, so I didn't think that it needed any large accessories. I will look forward to wearing this style again and again!

I am wearing the Intermission Dress in a size Medium. Amie did let me know that this style runs small, and sizing up would be a good idea.
