My kids have been back in school for a few weeks now. Big Bro B started school in mid-August (he's in 1st grade), and Baby S already has three weeks of Day School under her tiny belt. I never realized how much I would miss the summer. I wasn't sure about what type of toddler backpack Baby S would need for school. I knew that I'd need something that her teachers would be able to put a folder in each day, but something that we could also use for daily outings, etc. The Junior Book Bags from Stuck on You are the perfect size for little ones who want a little taste of independence! The lightweight backpack has adjustable straps, and is easy for little ones to wear and carry themselves.

I fell in love with the adorable Pineapple and Bunting design on this cute backpack. Can you guess why? It reminded me of the Mommy's Block Party blog banner, in a way. The backpack's print is sort of summery, but S absolutely loves it and it's definitely going to be cheery in the dead of winter.

The Junior Backpack has all sorts of helpful features, like a side mesh pocket with drawstring to hold items like sippy cups.

It's pretty amazing how much room this little backpack actually has... lots of room inside, a side pocket, and an insulated zippered compartment on the bottom! I've been very pleased with the amount of Baby S' things that we've been able to get into the backpack.

Plenty of room inside for a change of clothes, extra diapers and wipes, and snacks, of course!

Built-in lunch box? How cool and practical!

I love the little insulated pouch on the bottom of the backpack. Once S goes to Day School 4-5 days a week when she's older, she can stay for lunch on Fridays, and this will be the easiest way to pack her lunch without having to send another bag to school. For now, it's a great place to pack snacks when we go on little trips, and it's also a great place for me to put any wet clothing that might need storing until I can get them to the washing machine.

This little backpack is the perfect size for my pint-sized learner!

Personalized Name Labels help me keep Big Bro B's things organized, too!

One of the requests from B's teacher was that we label all items that come to school, such as jackets, backpacks, pencil cases, lunchboxes, etc. I label everything of B's from his shoes to his gloves. You never know when a jacket is going to get thrown down on the playground and picked up by another child. Having B's name clearly labeled on his belongings help to ensure that they get back to him, and are brought back home at the end of the school day.

Stuck On You has lots of great choices for name labels in many fun designs. I went with a sheet of orange name labels for B with a soccer ball icon, since he loves the color orange and loves soccer, too!
