One Pan Sausage & Veggies

What's your cooking style like? Do you enjoy preparing lavish meals for your family, or are you looking for ways to save time and get a hot meal on the table in 30 minutes or less? If the answer to both questions is 'yes,' you're not alone. I enjoy cooking for my family, but at the end of the day, I am dog tired, and while I want to put a delicious meal on the table, I also want to keep things as simple and budget friendly as possible. Saving time from prep to cooking to clean up is huge for me, and I'm guessing that it is for you, too.

One pan meals are becoming a thing in my kitchen. My husband isn't always a fan of them, so I have been trying to come up with creative new meals that the entire family will love. Why do I love one pan meals? Simple- there's just one pan to have to worry about when clean up time rolls around. Try juggling multiple pots, pans, and the oven while trying to keep your curious toddler away from the oven/stove, and you'll be all in for trying a one pan meal.

We enjoy sausage and veggies. In the past, I have pan seared the sausage, and cooked veggies separately. Doing this takes two pans and usually a pot, as well... plus, any other foods that I might make for the kids. The last time I prepared a sausage dinner, I wised up, and decided to roast the sausage with the veggies all on one pan. It saved a lot of time, and turned out to be incredibly delicious!

You Will Need:
1 sausage or 4 brats
1 broccoli crown
2 medium zucchinis
Olive oil
Salt & Pepper

To prep:
Slice sausage and chop veggies.
Add to lined baking sheet (I use a non-stick liner)
Drizzle with olive oil
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to season
*Total prep time- 15 minutes

To roast:
Add pan to a preheated 400 degree oven.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Flip veggies and sausage with a spatula.
Return to oven and continue roasting for 15 minutes.

Serve as is for a delicious low carb meal, or serve with steamed white or brown rice!
