The Best Cookies in NYC Delivered to Your Door: Brookie's Cookies NYC + Mini Cookie Assortment #Giveaway

Thank you to Brookie's Cookies for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

What's in a cookie? Hopefully, lots of flavor, and a trip down memory lane. When I was growing up, I loved the scent of freshly bake cookies (still do). Unfortunately, I am not much of a baker, myself. I love all types of cookies, and love it when my husband bakes. When he does bake, however, he bakes several dozens of cookies at a time, and we wind up with a house full of cookies. Sounds like any cookie lover's dream, I know... but there's one problem with this dream scenario. I will eat all of the cookies. I will slowly go back to the kitchen and devour those cookies one by one.

Easy Chicken Stroganoff #Recipe

Mama confession time... once a week, we have a cheat night and buy a delicious rotisserie chicken from our neighborhood grocery store. We eat some of the chicken for dinner one night and usually have a good amount of chicken left over. I love taking the rest of the meat off the bone and using it for other meals. If there's only a little chicken left, I'll use it to make chicken salad, but if there's at least half of the chicken left, there's enough for me to make one of our favorite meals: Chicken Stroganoff.

The 80s Could Be The Color You Need Right Now

As the fashions change again, we hold our breath to see what the new season is going to hold. From what we’ve seen so far, it’s safe to say that 80s are back in style. While in the past, this may have made many women groan with exasperation, we’re embracing the look with glee this year. Why? Because the 80s fashion may be controversial, but no one can deny it was colorful. And, we could all do with a little color in our lives right about now, couldn’t we? With Trump running riot and the world turning into a place few of us recognize, it’s high time we had some fun. So, here’s how you can embrace a little 80s love into your life!

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - "Gaston" Film Clip!

Why Your Curb Appeal Is Important

Many homeowners take a lot of pride in the insides of their home, but they don’t try as hard with the outside. How attractive your home looks on the outside is called your ‘curb appeal’ and it’s actually really important.

Why Is Curb Appeal So Important?
Curb appeal is important for a variety of reasons. The number one reason it’s so important, is when selling your home, the first impression of your home is going to make a massive difference. The first few seconds of a person viewing your house is going to make an impact on them, whether they consciously realize it or not. If you have a dirty car and an overgrown garden, it isn’t going to make them feel great regardless of what you have to offer inside. Making a good impression on buyers as soon as they see your home is crucial.

The Poseidon Children’s Sonic Toothbrush Makes Brushing a Fun Adventure #ToiletTreeProducts

Thank you to ToiletTree products for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opions shared are my own.

How do you know if your child is really getting their teeth clean? Since B was just a little baby, we have tried to instill good oral health habits in him, which includes brushing his teeth twice a day, and flossing. When we assisted with tooth brushing, I was confident that his mouth and teeth were really clean, but now that B takes care of his own mouth, I'm not always sure that he is spending adequate time brushing his teeth. I don't want to hover, so having a product that helps B get his teeth super clean on his own and makes brushing fun for him is a win-win for all involved.

Spring is in the air! #motivationalmonday

The weather has been so, so beautiful here the past week and looking ahead for this week.  I'll take 80 degrees in February.  The trees and flowers are blooming and the sky have been beautiful.  I plan to enjoy every minute of this beautiful weather outside with my kiddos.  Recess and beautiful weather go hand in hand!  Enjoy some pictures I snapped while Bolt and I took a nice walk around our neighborhood.

I love this gorgeous tree.

Could this purple be any brighter?

And the pink...

Pretty in Pink

A sure sign of Spring!

Now...let's just hope that we don't get another blast of Winter in March!
Enjoy your week!

Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Hello 60s

It's Saturday, and although it is supposed to be a rainy day here in Connecticut, I am so happy  because it is also supposed to be day 3 of temperatures in the 60s!

Today. we will be going to cousin T's birthday party! He turned 8 on Thursday and the girls are really excited to celebrate with him. Part of the excitement might just be because the party is at
Sky Zone, but most of it comes out of love for their cousin.

These 3 have a lot of fun together!

At some point this weekend, we also have to find time to get to work on D's science fair project. The actual experiment is finished, she just needs to get all of the information onto her board. She decided to use 3 different types of juice (orange, apple, and lemon) to see which one could clean a penny the best. She made her hypothesis, we took pictures of the before, during, and after, and she made her observations. She has been so excited to be taking part in a science fair and I cannot wait to see her project on display!

Which penny do you think came out the cleanest?

I hope that you have a fantastic weekend!

Meet the Stars at The Hollywood Wax Museum, Myrtle Beach

Thank you to Hollywood Wax and Entertainment Center Myrtle Beach for providing me with complimentary admission in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

Our family loves to visit Myrtle Beach, SC. We go every year after Christmas, and it's so nice to be there during the off season when it's far less crowded. Since it's too cold to hit the beach that time of the year, we always look for other fun things to do. We love to head down toward Broadway at the Beach, and right across the street is the Hollywood Wax Museum and Entertainment Center. This place is a 3-in-1 fun zone for families!

The Hollywood Wax Museum is a landmark in Myrtle Beach and a highlight of Broadway at the Beach. At the intersection of Highway 17 Bypass and 21st Avenue in Myrtle Beach, Hollywood Wax Museum is the only wax museum in the country devoted entirely to celebrity figures. The two-story Museum will bring Myrtle Beach tourists and locals into the world of Hollywood Stars and allow visitors to get close to some of the most famous people in show business, recreated so faithfully that you'd swear they were alive. Hollywood Wax Museum houses tons of uncanny replicas, lending themselves to fun photo opportunities for guests. If you're waxing for fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, SC this summer or if you're visiting the beautiful Grand Stand any time of year, the Hollywood Wax Museum is a must-see.

We were excited to tour the museum and 'meet' some of our favorite stars!

B with Robert Downey, Jr. He was so excited to meet Tony Stark!

Another favorite- Captain Jack Sparrow!

Daddy's favorite guy- Indiana Jones!

A lot of the scenes had props, so you were encouraged to use them, dress up, and take as many photos as you like with the wax figures. B really thought this was fun. He loves dressing up anyway, and was excited to play and act out some scenes with favorite characters and stars. Dressing up like pirates was a lot of fun! There were a lot of stars he didn't recognize, but the grown-ups knew all of the stars, and we had a lot of fun just looking at their likenesses.

Breakfast at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn.

My dad with Lucille Ball (though he did see Lucille Ball in real life when he was growing up in California!)

Me giving Martha Stewart a run for her money... it's a good thing.

No worries, Martha- you can keep your day job.

I enjoyed walking through and reading about so may awesome leading ladies. I loved the Lucy and Martha Stewart sets. Sometimes I just have way too much fun! From the lovely ladies, we went to the monsters sets, which had chracters from Alien, Frankenstien, Scream, and many others. Some were a little creepy for B, and he hurried right past them. Baby S was interested in everything she saw.

Alien... so scary!

Meeting Count Dracula.

Jennifer Aniston's closet.

Look who I found in the wedding chapel! They even had wedding dresses you could slip on and take pictures in!

A fun laser maze room! Only a ninja can make it through! PS- I made it through on the easy level!

We made it out of the room of lasers, which was so much fun! I couldn't convince B to go in and give it a try, but all of the adults took a turn. There were different difficulty levels that you could set it to if you wanted a true challenge. The goal is to make it through the maze without going through a laser beam. We stepped over and crawled under tons of green lasers to get to the other side!

After the laser challenge, we made our way down to the hall of music, and were met by tons of figures of famous musicians. I thought the figure of Lady Gaga was pretty close! I also loved the figures of Dolly Parton and Michael Jackson- they were spot on!

Complete the picture spinning game.

I finally got my Oscar! Thank you, thank you!

B, dancing with Charlie!

Dad & Dolly

Hangin' with my favorite vampires in Forks.

Coffee and cannoli with Owen Wilson- even though he's not my favorite Wilson brother.

 Pink and Katy Perry

You exit the museum through the gift shop, of course. There were mostly cute little things to pick up and take home, and most everything was fairly priced.

The Hollywood Wax and Entertainment Center also houses a Zombie Outbreak walk through, as well as Hannah's Maze of Mirrors. A full pass to the entertainment center gets you into all three! I was not interested in the Zombie Outbreak, and it was way too scary for B, so we did not go through that one. We did go through the Maze of Mirrors, which I'll share about in my next post.

Gift shop, filled with fun souvenirs!

We had such a fun time going through the Hollywood Wax Museum and playing around in all of the fun sets. This is as close as we'll ever get to meeting the stars, so it was truly enjoyable. It's a fun way to spend a few hours at the beach. We spent about two hours going through the Wax Museum, and about 30 minutes in the mirror maze. It's the perfect way to spend a rainy day, or to enjoy a hot afternoon!

Want to go? Check it out!

Head on over to the Hollywood Wax Museum to learn more about one of Myrtle Beach's most popular family attractions. Buy tickets online, and don't forget to check out the group rates if you have a large party.
