Fitness Friday- The First Friday of the New Year!

Happy 2nd day of 2015 everyone! If you are anything like me, you made a few resolutions. My biggest resolution was to spend more time focusing on the word, and less on the world. I've been seeing a certain internet meme pop up in my Facebook newsfeed often enough that I couldn't view it as a mere coincidence.

I don't know about you, but I was feeling the irritation and stress (and a few other emotions)  a bit over the holiday season. I know it's because I was not spending nearly enough time with God and this meme did a great job giving me the kick in the butt I needed to get back on track!

My second resolution is to really start taking better care of myself. Last year I lost 30 pounds and I was feeling pretty good. Fast forward to mid October/ early November and I realized that I gained back a little more than half of that weight! 17 pounds back on because I didn't care enough about myself to do what I know I needed to to take care of my body! That's changing this year, but if I am being honest, I am likely going to need some accountability partners!

One of the things I am looking forward to doing for myself is getting back into exercising at home. Back in July I was lucky enough to review 2 great DVDs (from Shazzy Fitness)that allowed me to have fun while dancing around my living room to some great Christian music! I am still no where near ready to be featured in any Shazzy exercise DVDs, but it sure is a fun way to get my exercise in and my daughters think it's a blast too!  Small Fun Fact- Shazzy Fitness recently made the "Top DVD Workouts of 2014" in the Chicago Sun Times

If You Are in the New York Area, You Can Meet the Shazzy Crew at Community Christian Church of NYC on January 24, 2015!

Did you make any resolutions this year? Share yours in the comments and I will pick one lucky reader to receive a Shazzy Fitness Dance Workout DVD from yours truly!
