I can't believe that my little man's first day of school is in two weeks. It seems like just yesterday, he was tiny and sleeping in my arms, and now he's a super smart, charming, caring, inquisitive three-year-old, headed to preschool for the very first time. Our next couple of weeks will be so busy, as we head to orientation, open houses, finish up our supply list shopping, and get into a new daily routine that has everybody on the go!
We often get thirsty when we're out and about, and instead of falling into the trap of having to purchase a drink at a drive through somewhere, we've gotten into a good habit of bringing along drinks from home. This time of year, however (when it's 90 + degrees every day), our cold drinks get hot and yucky when we bring them along... and we run into the opposite problem during the cooler months, of our hot drinks not staying hot! So, when I was given the opportunity to work with Tervis, I jumped at the chance!
You've probably seen Tervis products when you've been out shopping. I have seen them a bunch of times, but it wasn't until recently that I realized why they're so unique. Tervis came about back in 1946, in Detroit, when engineers Frank Cotter and G. Howlett Davis, hit something big! They found a way to they harness the natural insulating powers of air to create a permanently sealed, double-walled tumbler. This would mean that the tumblers would keep hot drinks hot, and cold drinks cold. This discovery forever changed the drink ware industry. Today, Tervis offers eight tumbler sizes, plus hundreds of customizable designs, emblems and accessory combinations.
I was offered the chance to review two Tervis tumblers, and I was very excited, because I didn't own any Tervis products, but had always wanted to see what make them so special.
Our package from Tervis arrived, and B couldn't wait to see what was inside!
I did go ahead and spill the beans to B that the package from Tervis had something very special inside, just for him! He took a lot of guesses, and I told him he'd have to go ahead and open the box up to see if he was right.

Our Tervis insulated tumblers arrived individually wrapped, and packaged in bubble wrap. I removed the bubble wrap before B got his hands into the box. He hurried to remove the two Tervis tumblers- one large, one small. He noticed right away that these were Disney themed tumblers, and couldn't wait to use them!
'Mommy, can I have a drink in my new cups?'
We received two very special Tervis Tumblers- a 16 oz Mickey Mouse Tumbler, and a 10 oz Wavy Nemo and Friends Tumbler.
I headed to the kitchen to wash the new tumblers with warm, soapy water, so that B could enjoy his cold milk before bedtime, in his new Tervis tumbler. B is three, will be four in October, and while he is content to drink from a small big boy cup with no lid, he still loves his sippy cups. I have been trying to move him away from those, and the 10 oz Tervis tumbler is a great product to help with that, because it's like a regular cup, but it has a lid, with a drinking spout- perfect for kids who still want that 'sippy', or might be prone to spills.

I love the Finding Nemo 10 oz Way Tumbler by Tervis. The double wall insulated tumbler really does keep cold drinks cold. I am so used to B leaving his sippy cups around the house, because he gets distracted, and just moves so quickly from one activity to the next, all through out the house. I often find a sippy cup of milk hiding somewhere, and hour or so after I have given the cup to B, and the milk is all warm and yucky. With the Tervis tumbler, I happily found that the milk I presented by son with, was still cold almost one hour later! This seriously helps us cut down on waste, and is even more helpful when B wants to bring milk along in the car. Nothing is worse than taking along a sippy cup of milk, having it sit in the warm car and just gets totally gross before the little guy has a chance to drink it. I wish I'd had this cup for B before we went on vacation a few weeks ago!
The 10 oz Wavy Tumblers by Tervis are great for little hands at snack time, mealtimes, to take on the go, or for anytime!
The lid has a drinking spout, and a slide back cover, which prevents sloshing liquids.
The lid is also tight-fitting, making it nearly impossible for little ones to remove.
I am so glad to finally have a tumbler that can come along with us when we're one the go, and that it's one B can't remove the lid from! We have had many a time where B has taken cup lids off, and we've encountered spills and messes in the back seat of the car!

We also received a similar Tervis Tumbler in a 16 oz size. I was happy to see Mickey Mouse in my house, featured on this cute, functional tumbler. The Mickey tumbler works just the same as the Nemo tumbler. It's also a double wall insulated and keeps hot drinks hot, and cold drinks cold. Since this tumbler is taller and larger than the Finding Nemo tumbler by Tervis, I have claimed Mickey for now. It's a great size for me, and since it can be used to contain hot and cold beverages, it's perfect for me to keep my coffee in after B is up!
I have a lot of thermal coffee cups that I like to take with me, but guess what? They do a super lousy job at keeping my coffee hot. I am not someone who likes to drink luke-warm coffee, and if I'm home, I have a bad habit of microwaving my coffee all morning long, because I start doing things, forget about it, etc. The Tervis tumbler keeps my coffee hot when I take it with me, and since the tumbler is microwave safe, I can microwave my coffee right in the tumbler! Plus, I found the best thermal coffee carafe ever and I am loving it so much! I am so used to having to dump coffee from mug to thermal coffee cup, and back to the mug for reheating. It makes a mess, wastes time, and is just a pain! This makes my life so much easier- thank you, Tervis!

We've been enjoying our Tervis tumblers, and love that they can go along with us, wherever we need to be. These tumblers are microwave and dishwasher safe, and are so much fun to use! We love the bright, bold characters on the tumblers, the fact that these actually fit in our cup holders in the car, and that they really do keeps our drinks hot and cold!
