Tidy Books Review and Giveaway

We have some big readers in our house, myself included. Books seem to be a common gift for all holidays and even times in between. All three of the kids have large collections and they continue to grow all the time.

We just rearranged our playroom and sorted our books and toys. By doing this, we have decided to organize our books more efficiently so they are getting read more often. Each of the kids can have a specific assortment in their room and we will also have some in a book reading area that we are working on creating.

B already has a book area in his room, but the girls have so far gone without. Not anymore! Thanks to Tidy Books, we recently received a great new place to store books that will look fabulous in the girls bedroom.

Established in 2004, Tidy Books is an independent company based in the UK. Company founder, Geraldine Grandidier, created the first Tidy Books Bookcase for her daughter and the company grew from there. Tidy Books designs original, unique, and practical ideas for storing books that are built to last and grow with the family. They are using sustainable sources to build their products and also raise money for Save the Children charity.

Our Tidy Books package has arrived, it was a big one!

There is something that makes me feel extra cool when a package from London shows up on my doorstep.

We barely get inside the door anymore before packages have to be opened. Luckily S is ready for anything and dove right in.

Our friends at Tidy Books sent us the Bunk Bed Buddy!

This is great packaging. The box is very sturdy and colorful. It draws you right in and lets you know what the product is. The little girl in the photo is the perfect example of how the shelf works and I love the quote on the front "It doesn't have to be lonely at the top!" I remember in my own bunk bed days that once you got up in bed, you had better have all you needed for the night. While my girls aren't in bunks yet, we have a set ready and waiting for them when they are.

I also appreciated the handle on the top of the box for easy lifting and carrying.

The back of the box clearly lists all the amazing qualities in the Bunk Bed Buddy.

One plus to the Tidy Books product we received compared to Ondria and Erin's experiences, our product was already assembled. I am handy enough and would have had no problem putting something together if needed, but with three kids to care for, the less work is sometimes wonderful news for me. The Bunk Bed Buddy was bubble wrapped for extra protection from damage during shipping.

We chose the white Bunk Bed Buddy because the girls have all white furniture in their room. We felt this would best fit our needs, although it comes in pink, blue, white, and natural color options. Also included inside the box was a small catalog with all of Tidy Books products and choices.

While we did not have to assemble the shelf, we will have to install it. I am waiting until we have figured out the perfect spot in the girls room, we are slowly getting there. All of the pieces to attach the shelf were included and are waiting to be used. The shelf measures 13" (height) x 20.9"(width) x 4.7" (depth) and will fit well on a wall. It is a very slim fitting shelf so that it doesn't jut out and take space. This was truly meant to be a quick, sturdy storage space for books and other goodies.

With two shelves to fill, the girls will have no problem each getting their own space. Each space can easily hold an assortment of books plus other goodies, like the beloved alarm clock they have and sippy cups of water.

This is an amazing addition to our book storage and could not have come at a better time. Our current rearranging now has a purpose and our books will now have a new place. I love that the girls will have their own spot to have their books of choice right at their fingertips.
