Ollie Beez Holiday Review and Giveaway

Mommy's Block Party Holiday Gift Guide 2013

The girls' room in our house uses a bright pink and green owl theme. We chose it for S when she was a toddler knowing that it would last for awhile as a bigger girl theme too. Now that C is here, the girls are sharing a room and the theme can continue.

S has many decorations in her room that are just hers and we knew that C would need some of her own as well. When Ondria asked if I was interested in working with a great company that MBP had partnered with before. This company is Etsy based and focuses on custom made building blocks and other creative items for anyone and everyone. I was so excited to check them out and see what fun was in store for C.
Ollie Beez is found on Etsy and shop owner, Sara, has been working hard crafting creative and affordable items for little ones. Sara hand makes everything in the shop and loves creating custom orders for her customers. She specializes in wooden blocks with fun and detailed colors, pictures, and designs.

Sara offered to send us our own set of custom made blocks from the Ollie Beez Etsy shop. She had me choose a block set of any theme and offered to create something different to match bedroom themes buy finding a match in digital scrapbook paper. I was blown away by the selection already in the shop, but chose to find something else in the digital paper section that would best match the girls' room. I also let her know the name, letter style choice, and number preference. Once I let Sara know my selections, it wasn't long before an Ollie Beez package was on its way to us.

Shipping was very quick and before I knew it, our Ollie Beez package was here!
Even though it wasn't for S, I let her help open it up. She is such a good helper I couldn't say no.
Inside our box we found a bag full of goodies. The looked adorable already before we even took them out. I was so thrilled with the way they looked and how well they would match the room.
Ollie Beez sent us this set of custom wooden blocks.
These pink owl blocks are perfect for our owl themed bedroom. This is a set of 13 wooden, two inch, handmade blocks, complete with letters that spell out C's name. Sara uses non toxic, water based paint and sealant, along with mod podge, stickers, and paper to create these beautiful blocks.

There are also numbers 0-9 and the alphabet letters A-Z.
The remaining sides have different owl pictures and designs on them.

You can find this owl set on Ollie Beez Etsy shop for $39.95.
These blocks are not just for displaying in your home but also safe for playing. They are sturdy and hold up well to stacking and banging together for little hands. Sara does recommend parent supervision, just as with any toy, and are not for teething.

Sara can create these extremely well made blocks in a huge assortment of designs. I found minions in her shop which are probably a quick moving one with the movie being so popular right now. I know my kids are loving anything minion.
She can also create personalized blocks with special photos for an amazing keepsake.

I just want to thank Sara and Ollie Beez for a great product. Sara has handmade these special blocks just for C in a design she can play with and display for years to come. I appreciate Sara's effort to make such a special keepsake for us!

  10. Oh my, that is a hard choice. I believe that the Curious George building blocks would be my little ones favorite, especially since we could use them with all the books we have.

  11. Right now my 3 year olds room is in transition. It has a majority of designs for baby boys, you know the babish looking animals and toys. We are attempting a "Big-Boy" room which is designed with part Thomas The Train and trying to coordinate many storybook favorites. We have only been able to find a bedding, curtains, and such right now. But I am hoping that we will be coming across some great items soon.
