Thankful Hearts: Un Petite Cadeau #Review + $30.00 Gift Code #Giveaway

Being a mom blogger and sharing about so many wonderful items for holidays and everyday enjoyment is definitely a lot of fun for me. What some may not realize, however, is that our team is prepping our editorial calendar and lining up special features weeks, if not a month or more in advance of a particular holiday. We start making plans for Christmas features in August, if you can believe that, so it's always a miracle if we're able to sneak in some stand out holiday items for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Every now and then, I come across some shops or products that are just too adorable not to share with you all, and Un Petit Cadeau fits that bill!

Un Petit Cadeau is owned and operated by Melanie Wascom, who loves embroidery, sewing and making unique gifts and clothes for children. Un Petit Cadeau offers a little gift for everyone! Melanie's shop is filled with beautiful home decor accents, custom gifts, embroidered children's clothing and more! I was thrilled to connect with Melanie, and tell her a bit about myself, and how I love to share unique items (especially ones that are handmade) with the MBP community. I definitely wanted to be able to share some cute Thanksgiving themed items, and Melanie offered to send our family a package, which would include a special Thanksgiving themed shirt for Balian, as well as a couple of surprises!

The first thing I unwrapped, B's personalized Thanksgiving t-shirt!

Melanie sent us an absolutely adorable t-shirt for B to enjoy for Thanksgiving. We went with a 4T 100% cotton short sleeved t-shirt, which features a pick up truck with a trendy chevron design and gingham tires. In the back of the truck, is a little turkey! Not only is the t-shirt adorable, the design is so on trend and cute for my little big boy! The t-shirt is soft to the touch, and wears so nicely! B couldn't wait to try it on and let me snap a photo of his 'turkey shirt!'

We also decided to go with short sleeves on the shirt, because we're never sure of what the temperatures will be like here in NC in November. We've had temps ranging from the 30's to the 70's in recent years on Thanksgiving Day, so I knew that if it was warm out, the short sleeves would be the way to go, and if it was cooler out, we could layer a long sleeved tee underneath, B wore the shirt proudly without any complaints. We did layer a short sleeved t-shirt underneath, so there would be something between the underside of the applique and B's skin. He's super sensitive to that stuff. I was able to machine wash and tumble dry the tee on low with no problems, as well.

This t-shirt can be personalized with a name, up to seven letters. The shirt is available in either white or orange, and in sizes 18 mo to 8 youth.

Our second item... a personalized Placemat!

Melanie created a special personalized placemat just for Balian. It's a tan and white gingham placemat, with a colorful appliqued and embroidered turkey. The placemat also features a cute little pocket, made of a coordinating chevron print fabric, with embroidered outline. The pocket is the perfect spot to place utensils, a napkin, or a special note or treat! B was so excited when he saw the placemat, and couldn't wait to use it!

Lunch time!

We have been using the placemat for a few weeks, and B just loves it! Melanie embroidered his name in the top left corner, and every time he sits down to eat, he's excited to see that. Though this is wonderful for home use, I cannot wait until we are able to use this on Thanksgiving Day! We'll be having Thanksgiving dinner with my parents, at their house, and B will be so surprised to see his familiar placemat at the table at his Grammy and Papa's house next week!

Pillow Charm/Jar Label

This is totally one of the most adorable holiday decor accessories I have ever seen! Not only is it cute, it's clever and versatile! This can be used as a pillow charm, in which case, you would wrap it around an accent pillow. I wanted to put this somewhere out of B's reach, because trust me, he'd want to mess with it. So, I decided to use it as a centerpiece, around one of my hurricanes.

This little turkey is personalized with a southern 'Happy Fall Y'all' embroidered saying. A chevron patterned ribbon in a festive orange and yellow is included, and it's long enougto fit around a pillow, a jar, a hurricane, or whatever else you might like to display it on. I'll be sad to put this away after next week, but I'll be looking forward to putting it out again next year, and I might even try it out on a pillow!
