I have never been thrilled with the prospect of clothing shopping, especially at the holidays. Memories of Boscovs, Sears, and Penny's fill my brain when I think about shopping for winter clothing related to the holiday season. Frustrations of sizing, pricing, and appropriate looks accompany those faint memories of holiday shopping.. then the returns. Stuff never fit correctly, and standing in those long lines the week after Christmas was quite obnoxious.
Online shopping, while still difficult regarding fit, style, and sometimes length, is definitely easier on my anxiety as I try on clothing in the comfort of my home and then return as needed. It's important to find a clothing company that you can trust to provide quality, well-made items.
Lascana should be at the top of your holiday list if you are needing to update your wardrobe or gift someone a special item for the holidays! Their sizing is clear on their website, and while they don't exactly cater to the plus-size crowd, there are still a fair amount of pieces that can be worked into those wardrobes. Just pay attention to measurements and maybe do some online research around reviews too.
While I did receive one pair of jeans that didn't fit, I am really in love with the three pieces along with corresponding tank tops. These pieces are perfect for the remainder of the fall and into the winter season, as our winter doesn't get extremely cold!
All three pieces can be incorporated into everyday outfits, outings, and adventures that we all have during the holiday season. Some are dressier than others, while others are more comfort wear when heading out and about shopping or brunch adventures with friends. None are really holiday party formal, but sweaters are perfect for informal holiday gatherings.
Color Blocked Ribbed Knit Sweater- $69.95
This sweater has five different colorblock styles in sizing from O-16/18, although several sizes are low/ out of stock. I opted for the Black and Beige colorblock pattern. I'm a size 16/18 in most sweaters, and mostly 18 in jeans pants (although in some styles, I'm 16), so check out the sizing chart and purchase accordingly.
As you can see, this pairs well with skinny pants, darker jean washes, and while I don't have a photo, it also pairs well with a pair of light pink dress pants I have too!
The boat neckline makes this sweater one I can easily wear, as I hate any type of sweater up near my neck, such as mock, crew, and turtlenecks. The sleeves are wide and contain fitted cuffs. On the off chance you become warm while wearing this, sleeves can be pushed up and will stay!
The 20.47 inch length is perfect for me. It hits low enough that I'm not trying to pull it down all day, but its not too long!
This sweater is great for everyday wear, but is probably too informal for business wear. I'm lucky that I have an office where, depending on the day, I can dress down, and I wore this ensemble at a womens event. The ladies loved the pattern on me!
Be sure to machine wash cold and lay flat to dry. Materials include polyester, Viscose, and Polymide.
Sheer Long Sleeved Top- $59.95
This wine-colored long sleeved top is absolutely beautiful! The shirt itself is a little bit more form fitting than I'd like, but the detail makes it so pretty.
Pairs well with most types of pants, or perhaps if you are of the persuasion, a skirt.
I will say that I was surprised the top was sheer as well, as that wasn't really disclosed in the website details. I wore a tank under it since I was going to be in the office, and I really don't think it was all that noticeable.
If you are the type to wear them, of course there are other strapless undergarments out there that would work as well.
The sleeves, known as Bishop sleeves, are fitted sleeves that billow out, and taper in at the wrist with a fitted cuff. The billowy form of the sheer sleeve gives this top extra detail that makes any outfit stand out!
It's a versatile top for both the office and going-out, but I'd probably not wear it just for daily life as I'd be concerned about tearing or ripping the sleeves.
XS- XL sizing is available in this trendy blouse. As the sleeves are sheer, it's perfect for those occasions when you may not necessarily need full on winter coverage, but need to have your arms covered for some reason. I have a tendency to get hot easily but wearing this around the office, I was fine. I'd probably not be able to wear it on a 70 degree day, though.
Material includes polyester and elastane. Be sure to handwash this delicate item and hang to dry. Don't use any irons, dryers, or dry-clean on it though. Despite the care needed for this item, it is truly a wardrobe upgrade that's perfect for many occasions!
Pearl Button Houndstooth Cardigan- $69.95
I absolutely LOVE this cardigan and received quite a few compliments when I've worn it around the office. It's cuffed sleeves, crew neckline, and pearl-like button make the extra details on this sweater fun and charming.
I also love how the pattern means that this cardigan is versatile for the office, going out, and is dressy enough even for upcoming holiday shows!
Informal with jeans and flats for any outing or occasion.
Pairs nice with red for the holidays (or Reformation Sunday at church)

The pattern and style are great for any official office duties that you might need to partake in. Whether it's a super special meeting, or Sunday church, this cardigan does have a bit of sophitication that makes it "dressy."
At 22 inches, its shorter than I usually like wearing for work, but some of that is self-esteem body issues. Paired with a tank underneath, it still covers everything it needs so that I don't have to worry about flashing anyone anything I don't want too!
This was a longer tank due to some Sunday morning antics I was getting into, but the shorter tanks (as shown in the jeans photo above) works as well.
These items will quickly become staples in your wardrobe! The white and blank tanks are so versatile and can be used under most shirts and sweaters, for an extra layer.
As someone who gets hot very easily (especially with coastal NC's daily fluctuating temps), these are the perfect layer under cardigans. Yet, they are also light enough to be a basic layer under sheerer clothing and heavier sweaters as well.
The 2 pack of tanks comes in sizes between 0 and 16/18, offers a crew neck, and each is made with stretchy ribbed fabric.
With a 23.5 inches in length, the tanks can be tucked in to provide a cleaner look too. Made with Cotton and Elastane , these tanks can be machine washed on cold, inside out, but should dry either flat or hanging.
I've worn the black tank under the color block sweater and the wine colored shirt above, while the white is visible under the houndstooth cardigan. I've also worn them with other pieces of clothing I already own.

It's also easy to return items to Lascana if they do not fit! There is an exchange return portal if sizing or color doesn't match your needs, but a proper return needs to be started if you want to return it totally.
