Here's some encouragement for your Wednesday: This summer, pack a picnic and visit a local park to enjoy some family fun. Better yet, explore surrounding counties and picnic somewhere new.

We love picnics, particularly in the mountains, where the air is cooler, there's typically a light breeze, and pests are few and far between. Picnics remind me of my childhood- picnics at the park, down the shore, and even on family road trips. My husband and I try our best to give our kids 'simple life' memories that will stay with them throughout their lives.

We've already had our first picnic of summer break, and can't wait for the next one!
