Yesterday I took my kids, mom, and grandma to The Grove Pottery in China Grove, NC where we had a great time painting pottery together. With a friendly and helpful staff, this cute studio offers a variety of pottery pieces to paint with prices averaging $25 - $30 per piece. This price includes your studio time as well as the firing of the piece. They also offer a VIP program which includes awesome deals and discounts for only $5 a month - a huge benefit for families with multiple children! 

You might be reading this and asking, "How exactly does this work?" First, you choose your pottery piece and the awesome staff talks you through the process. You then choose your paints and let your creativity flow. They have brushes, paints, and all other materials you need to create your work of art. After you finish painting, you leave your pieces at the studio where they take your painted pieces to fire in a kiln to give it a beautiful finish. The turn around time for this is about two weeks. When the date comes, you then go pick up your piece to proudly display in your home, to give as a gift, or whatever you choose.
