Mother's Day gifts are hard for me to choose when it comes to surprising my mom. Living out-of-state means I need to get created when it comes to finding and sending flowers, gift cards and fruit displays only go far so many years in a row.  

When I heard about Cookies By Design, I knew this was the absolutely perfect option to surprise my mom, who loves sweets, loves cookies, and loves receiving unexpected items at her door! Cookies By Design was kind enough to offer me a Mother's Day Bouquet that was sent directly to my mother's home. With overnight shipping, this surprise arrived a lot faster than anticipated, and my mom was very excited to receive it! My mom called me as soon as it arrived and immediately sent over a photo of the display. Unfortunately, she didn't get a photo of herself with the bouquet, but that's quite alright!

The Love for Mom medium bouquet includes a container and 7 cookies. Each cookie was hand-designed and made with love. The cookies are made from sugar cookie dough and are designed with colored sugar icing. There are two types of containers to choose from along with various sizes ranging from 5 to 12 cookies. One of the things I like about Cookies By Design is that each cookie is individually packaged. Instead of spoiling an entire tray with opening, open one cookie at a time! This makes the gift last even longer!

The received cookies spell out the word "Mom" and include a couple of heart shaped decorated cookies as well. My mom wanted to dive right in when she received her gift! I didn't tell her it was coming, so she was genuinely surprised when she came home from an errand.

All Cookies By Design baked goods are made in a facility where nuts could be found. Gluten-free cookies are available and sugar-free cookies might be available, depending on the facility, but there are no sugar-free designed cookies (ie- all the decorated cookies use icing made with sugar!). 

For Mother's Day options right now, there are a couple of different design patterns to choose from. All are wonderful options. This particular one is called Love For Mom. There is also a lavender colored basket called "Lovely Lavender for Mom," , "Emojis for Mom" with emoji cookies, as well as options for Tulip, Flower Cookies, and even photo cookies (the kind where edible pictures are found on cookies).
