Café Grumpy's goal is to "make sure that if you come in grumpy, you leave happy!". The only reason to be grumpy about coffee from Café Grumpy is because you have run out!

With the dream of serving great tasting specialty coffee to everyone in a welcoming environment, independently-owned and managed company Café Grumpy was founded in 2005 and has since grown to eleven locations.

Since 2009, Café Grumpy has been sourcing and roasting their coffee in house. They are certified as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise by NYC and are also an Equal Opportunity Employer- considering all applicants regardless of race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, disability, or veteran status.

All of Café Grumpy's coffee is kosher certified and they offer a wide variety of products including gift combos (which make the perfect holiday gift for your loved ones), coffee subscriptions, and mugs.

I was sent their signature orange mug with their logo, a cute jute gift bag, and their Momentum blend whole bean coffee. With notes of malted milk chocolate, caramel, and orange, this blend was a huge hit for my husband and I. The taste was incredible and you could tell that the beans were fresh. I will definitely be a repeat customer. As someone who lived in New York City for two years and commuted everywhere, I've also got my eye on their adorable commuter pigeon mug. It's definitely going into my cart when I order my next bag of coffee!
