Happy Saturday, once again, friends! Today we are celebrating the "International Day of Families". This is another one of those days I don't think I've heard of before, but can definitely appreciate and I want to celebrate.
According to National Today, the International Day of Families (also referred to as International Family Day) was founded by the United Nations in 1994 and is celebrated every May 15th to honor the importance of families. The theme for this year is "Families and New Technologies" and the focus is the impact new technologies have on the well-being of families.
I'm pretty sure each and every one of us has been on technology overload these last 14 months. My crew and I will be avoiding (most) technology today as we go out adventuring. Our focus today is sunshine, fresh air, and memories made together.
