Well, here we are... I'm (finally) in the second trimester of my pregnancy with baby #3. I'm in week 13, and it was honestly starting to feel like the second trimester would never get here. My first trimester was pretty awful, and brought me ALL of the things- all day nausea, insomnia, headaches, backaches, ligament pain, zero energy... the works. This was the worst I have felt in all of my pregnancies, and it was more similar to my first pregnancy (with B), which makes me wonder if this baby will be a boy? While I'm still weeks away from finding out baby's gender, I am absolutely ready to know what baby will be.

The second trimester is becoming everything one could hope for in months 4-6 of pregnancy. Little to no nausea is present now (and I am so thankful for this), my energy has significantly increased, I am able to exercise (and enjoy it) again, and I'm not falling asleep at 7:30 every night, and waking up at 3:30 every morning.

I'm starting to feel like putting real clothes on, and feel much more like myself. I have a desire to leave the house, to see people, and to get back to daily activities, and put more effort into my work, as well. I'm laughing and playing more with my kids, and I think everyone in our house is relived and much happier.

My 'bump' looks different day to day, depending on bloating, constipation (so super fun, right!?). There's a lot of unfun stuff about pregnancy, but I know how beautiful it can be, as well. I'm looking forward to the beautiful days, and trying not to think about what the 3rd trimester will bring in the dead of summer. We're starting to do some spring cleaning, are ready to spruce up the yard, and spend more time outside. We're also re-doing all of the kids' rooms, and then starting on the baby's nursery. With kids not having to share rooms at all this time around, I'm looking forward to fully designing a nursery just the way I want it for the first time! More on that excitement later.
