Bring a Piece of The Holy Land Home with an Artza Subscription Box, #Review+Giveaway, #MBPHOLIDAY20

Thank you to our friends at Artza for sending me this box in exchange for a review and for sponsoring this giveaway. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I've had my fair share of subscription boxes over the years and I've never had a box that has been a disappointment or wasn't worth the cost of the box. I really enjoy the anticipation and build up waiting for the box to arrive and the excitement of unboxing each item in the box. This month, I had the pleasure of getting the chance to review a subscription box from Artza-The Holy Land Delivered, and let me tell you when I say that this box is beautiful, that doesn't do it justice! There aren't enough adequate words to describe how blown away I am with this subscription box, but I'm going to try my best!

Artza-The Holy Land Delivered, is a quarterly subscription box service that follows the footsteps of Jesus and brings you products from local Israeli Artisans. Once you've joined, you'll be able to choose from two different boxes, The Artza, which is $74.99 a Quarter or $299.99 Annually, or the Artza Premium for $94.99 Quarterly or $379.99 Annually. This month's box is from Bethlehem, which is such a perfect box to celebrate the Christmas and Epiphany Seasons. I was sent last quarter's box which took me on a journey to Nazareth, and wow, what a journey it ended up being!

Upon the arrival of the box, I was immediately impressed with how intricate and detailed just the packaging of the box is. From the artwork to the label and the Hebrew written on the box, I could tell how much time, thought and effort goes into making each and every box. Before I even opened the box, the most enchanting smell started to permeate my nose, it was so refreshing, yet invigorating and somehow familiar. If I wasn't excited before, I definitely was now!

Once I had the box opened I was greeted with a beautiful and intriguing array of goodies from local Nazarene artisans. There are cards and a pamphlet that tells you about the different products in the box, along with postcards that show off the gorgeous local landscape. I found myself carefully read over all of the information on each card and feeling like I had an understanding of their culture and how they came about to make their products. As I began to pull out each item and examine it more closely I felt deeply connected to the land from which it came and felt a deeply spiritual connection.

The first product that came in the Artza Nazareth Box is the Reveal Isreal, 3 in 1 Family Card Game. I am so excited to play this game with my family when we get together for Christmas this year. This is something that is right up their alley and I know it's going to make for a fun and competitive evening! The next thing I pulled from the box is the Tereza Handmade Soap, which was made exclusively for this box, and I quickly realized was the source of the fragrant aroma.  The soap is made from goat's milk, which is very soothing and calming on the skin, and I plan on giving this soap to my Mother, who like me, suffers from terrible skin issues. It's my hope that the soap in this box will help relieve some of the burn and pain she suffers from. The next item is a beautiful, hand-carved, wooden cross that is small enough to be held in your hands. I can only assume that it is a prayer cross, and if not, I fully intend to use it as such. The smooth, round edges of the cross remind me of the debt that was paid for my sins and I feel a stronger connection to God as I'm holding this cross and praying. It's a feeling that is most definitely indescribable!

The next two items are food and beverage items. First up is Shalva Tea's Soothing Rose and Peppermint Tea. As I was researching more about this tea, I read that it is excellent for soothing sore throats, which will be helpful for this time of year. It never fails that I wind up with a sore throat from the cold weather, and with Covid-19, I want to make sure that I keep myself feeling the best that I can. The flavor of the teas is unlike any that I've had before, but it is absolutely delicious! The rose flavor is not overpowering at all, and the peppermint tastes so fresh. I am in love with this tea, and know that it will become a permanent staple in my household! The next item is the Shakshuka Blend spice mix from Derech-Hatavlinim-The Spice Road Farm. This is a farm in Nazareth that grows herbs and spices of the highest quality. I have yet to try out this blend, as I am also saving this for my family's Christmas vacation. We plan to have a delicious meal using this blend and enjoy a meal together while celebrating our brothers and sisters in Christ there in Isreal!

Also in the box is PTORA, Israeli Family Boutique's Apple, Pomegranate & Honey Spread. This is also being saved for homemade biscuits to be eaten and enjoyed on the 30th when we are all finally together for Christmas. I have been salivating over this spread for a while now, and I keep telling my family about it, who also can not wait to try it! I have a feeling that it won't last very long, but that's a good thing! Next, we have a handmade, ceramic heart with an intricate pattern hand pressed into the clay. The heart has a hole in the top with a cord three beads that make it easy to hang as an ornament on our tree, but I am planning on giving it to my niece as a keepsake for her to pass along to her children as she gets older. I think it's something that she will cherish and a way for us to be connected to our Holy Land.

The final item in the Artza Box, just happens to be my favorite item, and once you see it, I think you'll understand why! It's a small Home Blessing Tapestry made of satin and embroidered with a beautiful design of flowers, birds, vines, and fruit. The blessing is heartfelt and something that should be displayed at the front entrance of a home for all who enter to read. I am giving this to my Mom, even though it is something that I desperately wanted to keep for myself, I know that the work and craftsmanship that has gone into making this will be greatly appreciated by her. My Mom is a quilter and a sewer, and she enjoys working with her hands to make beautiful things, and I want to be able to bless her with something just as beautiful as she is and what she makes.

I feel beyond blessed to have had the chance to receive an Artza box! The items that have been carefully crafted, handmade, sourced, and prayed over, fill me with abundant joy, and I hope that anyone who receives a box will feel the same way that I do! I am so beyond thankful that I was introduced to Artza, and plan to continue to bring pieces of the Holy Land into my home! If you loved what was in my box, and want one for yourself, you're in luck. One Lucky MBP Reader will win an Artza Box of their own! Keep in mind that you will be receiving a different box than the one that I reviewed!
