Beach Totes Made Better with Reborn Clothing+Sunbrella, +Giveaway, #MBPSUMMER20

Thanks so much to our friends at Reborn Clothing.co for sending me this gorgeous
Reborn+Sunbrella Beach Tote for Review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Last week, my family had the wonderful opportunity to spend a week at a family friend's beach home in Oak Island, North Carolina. We've been to their home before, but for Cory and I, we had only been there in the winter and had never been able to enjoy the ocean and beaches. My last beach trip right after Christmas resulted in a broken foot, so with everything else going on in 2020, we really were looking forward to getting away and spending quality time with my family! Now, if you're anything like me, you start making a list of the items you are packing, the items you still need, and the things that you might need. So, as I began going through my lists and pulling things out like swimsuits, and beach towels, I realized that my beach bag had seen better days. It was completely worn out, and one of the handles was almost ripped off, it became clear that it was not going to make one more beach trip.

I started researching sturdy, long-lasting beach bags, and I really wasn't finding what I was looking for. Most were made out of plastic or cheap thin material, and I knew that they wouldn't last. I was a bit frustrated, but then I was introduced to Reborn Clothing.Co and they really sparked my interest. Reborn Clothing was started in 2017 by Emily Neville, who at the time was a Sophomore at NC State University. She was able to help people take their old clothing from the backs of their closets, and turn them into new products, this lead her to being able to reduce textile waste on a large scale. Reborn works with all kinds of companies to reduce textile waste and make sustainable options that fit all lifestyles. Their main focus is sustainability and that's something that I can really get behind! With Reborn Clothing Co being based out of North Carolina and having grown up in NC, it was very important to me to be able to support a local company and a sustainable one at that!

Reborn Clothing Co recently partnered with Sunbrella Fabrics to use their surplus fabric to create beautiful beach totes, totes and pouches. What's cool about Sunbrella fabric is it's marine grade outdoor fabric, which means that it's tough, durable fabric that can get wet and can take a beating. Each bag is completely unique, so you know that no one else will have the exact same bag as you! Reborn was kind enough to send me one of their beach totes and I could not have been more excited to get to take this beauty of a bag to the beach. The bag I chose is a gorgeous teal color with a fun geometric/tribal type pattern on the front of the bag. The beach tote has two pockets on the front of it, one pocket on the inside, has sturdy rope handles, measures 20 x 16 x 6, and retails for $99.00.

I had to pack the beach tote in my suitcase as we were flying from Oklahoma to North Carolina, and it easily folded in half to fit in my carry on. Once we were at Oak Island we were ready to hit the ground running and quickly grabbed our gear to head to the beach. I was able to easily fit two large beach towels, snacks, water bottles, a Bluetooth speaker, sunscreen, hats, masks, two cell phones, our beach clothes and we still had plenty of room in the beach tote. It's not too heavy of a bag to carry and didn't hurt my arms or shoulders like most bags do, due to the heavier weight and width of the rope straps. Since Sunbrella fabric is marine-grade fabric, I never had to worry about my niece or nephew getting the bag getting ruined by rouge waves or sand buckets! While at the ocean, I got several compliments on the bag and was asked numerous times where it came from. I was more than happy to let people know, from a safe distance, that it was a Reborn+Sunbrella Beach Tote!

This is not just a great beach tote, we also used it to carry groceries, and my four-year-old niece decided she needed to use it a few times to play shopping girls at the beach house. This bag was well used during our vacation, but I can also see it being used in my everyday life as well. This is a great bag to use for a computer tote bag, or even a Summer purse. It would make a great lake bag for boating or a daytrip bag for kids. It's so durable you don't have to worry about anything messing it up. It also wipes down very easily, as I spilled a margarita on it, and it wiped off easily and dried very quickly. I really do love this bag, and I know that it is a bag that will be with us for years to come. I love Reborn's mission of sustainability, it's something we should all strive to be better at, and they can help us with that!

If Beach Totes aren't your thing, don't worry, Reborn Clothing has so many other options for you to check out like their Zero Waste Collection,  Face Masks from surplus League fabric, Collegiate Collection, Upcycle Collection, Davis Furniture Collection, and there's surely more to come. 1. I would bring this on walks with my baby. It looks like it would fit perfectly in the bottom of the stroller.
