Give Mom the Gift of Comfort with Covered in Cotton, #MBPMOMSDAY20

Thanks so much to our friends at Covered in Cotton for sending me their Tobin Throw.
All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Mother's day looks very different this year, with many of not being able to spend the day with our Moms. With all that they do and sacrifice for us, they deserve the very best for Mother's Day. Give them the comfort they deserve with Covered in Cotton.

In 1962, Frank Woodard Jr, purchased his first plot of farmland in Darlington, SC, and has passed down his dream and determination of crops and his legacy of stewardship and family to his sons and grandsons. In 2017 Covered in Cotton was born, and are on a mission to weave together family and farm, as they work with local-family owned businesses throughout the Carolinas. They offer a variety of 100% cotton products that are proudly made in America.

Now, I grew up in North Carolina, and have fond memories of the vast and rich farmland there. As a granddaughter of a farmer, I appreciate how hard farmers work, and the importance of supporting our local farmers, which is why Covered in Cotton is a perfect fit for not only Mother's Day, but every day, and the Tobin Throw is the perfect gift for your mom!

What I really love about the Tobin, is that it is made from 100 percent ring spun cotton, whose fibers and threads have been carefully chosen, and skillfully woven to create a gorgeous throw blanket. Covered in Cotton never uses chemical for their all natural colored items, and sources, cultivates and creates their products from local farmers that never go beyond a 500 mile radius in the Carolinas. The companies sustainability and passion to work with local farmers is so impressive, and makes their products, that much more meaningful!

The Tobin throw has a gorgeous herringbone pattern that is woven throughout the blanket with fringe hanging from all the edges. It is luxuriously soft, but strong enough to provide you with years of comfort. It measures 50x70 inches, which is plenty big to curl up in on the couch or hammock, or to use as a statement piece. it's the perfect weight to keep you cozy all year long! Their blankets are even washable, and they come with care instrustions. It is recommeded that you machine wash cold on gentle and tumble dry on low for 10-15 minutes, then air dry, before your first use. Want to do something more for mom? While I don't have children myself, I know my Mother would love to receive a Throw blanket from Covered in Cotton. I can also see gifting this blanket to my niece on her wedding day, as her something old, that she can pass on down through the generations. Covered in Cotton has several styles of Throw Blankets to choose from and many other options as well, including Baby Blankets, Hand Towels, and a Homegrown at Home Boxed Collection, which would all make amazing Mother's Day Gifts!

Remember that Mother's Day doesn't have to be celebrated just on May 10th. You can celebrate Mom all year long, and gift her these amazing products. Covered in Cotton has something for every Mom in your life, for many different occasions! For my Mom, a farmer's daughter quilter and who lives in North Carolina, a gift from Covered in Cotton would hold a very special place in her heart!

Thank you so much Covered in Cotton for sending me The Tobin Throw. It has already become a piece in my house that brings back so many memories for me. It has found a special place in my heart as well, and I am in awe of your beautiful work and the thought and care that goes into your pieces. You can tell that they are made with love! I love where the names of the blankets came from, and the story of little Tobin, which you can read more about their Cotton with a Cause. It makes each blanket that much more special! From their packaging to the craftsman ship of each piece, Covered in Cotton has thought it all out, and created a blanket that provides warmth and comfort for years to come!

  1. Beautiful products and I love that they are made locally in the Carolinas. We live in SC outside of the capitol and i have seen a lot of cotton fields nearby.
