You guys know that stinky, sweaty kid smell that makes your roll down all the windows on the drive home from school?  My very active 11 year old is that stinky, sweaty kid that I have to roll down all the windows for.  Man, he stinks and of course it is worse as the warmer weather comes into play.  I am still trying very hard to get him in the daily habit of wearing deodorant.  Sometimes he forgets and I can tell you exactly what days that is.  Tandem to the rescue!  And just wait until I tell you how awesome this deodorant is.  

Aiden had 2 good days to put his new Tandem deodorant to the test before our remote learning started.  We had a beautiful, warm week but my son still wore his sweatshirt to school each day and didn't take it off all day.  You can imagine how that ends up. He liked the smell of the new deodorant right away.  He says it smells like a fresh mint.  I also like the smell...not too strong or overpowering for a kid to be able to use.  The first time he used it he told me it felt good.  I asked him to explain and he said it felt creamy but wasn't creamy or wet feeling.  Smooth, he said.  This happened to be a very warm day of that crazy sweatshirt all day and flag football practice for almost 2 hours after school.  I was dreading picking him up because I knew that my car was going to smell.  I had the windows already down and ready for the ride home.  I didn't notice a stink when he got in the car but I didn't say a word.  During our ride home he informed me that he didn't think he got too smelly and I agreed with him.  And then being the boy that he is, he smelled his armpits and said, "Nope, that new deodorant worked."  So, Tandem is a hit in this house!  And I have an ever better reason for it to be such a hit.

The absolute best part is that Tandem deodorants are made exclusively for kids.  There aren't a whole lot of kid friendly deodorants out there.  Tandem is also aluminum free, cruelty free and uses no baking soda and all plant based ingredients.  This is very important to me.  I have very sensitive skin and almost 2 years ago I went to an aluminum free, natural deodorant and had severe rash and pain.  So bad, that I had to go to the doctor and was unable to wear any deodorant for a while until it healed. We figured that it was the high amount of baking soda.  The brand I tried works for many of my friends and seems to be a great deodorant, but not for me.  It has taken me a long time to finally find a natural deodorant that agrees with my skin and I was very worried that Aiden may have the same problem.  I kept having him check for rash, redness or itching and he has been fine.  Such a relief.  I shared the Tandem for girls with my co-worker who has 2 Pre-teen daughters.  She has given me a good report from them also.  Her youngest daughter says that she thinks it has a bubble gum scent and she also mentioned how good it felt on.  She used the word silky to describe it.  Do your kiddos a favor and get Tandem in their life.
