You guys, I can't believe it. My oldest daughter is officially a preteen today! I could cry, but instead, I am going to focus on all I have to smile about with this wonderful young lady. She is just such a blessing. 

D is (still) one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I think she must have been born with an extra kindness gene or something. For as long as I can remember, she has cared about the well-being of others. People often comment about how polite and kind she is and I am so glad that she shines that light of hers in our world!

She still rocks the big sister role too. I don't remember liking my sisters as much when I was her age, but she keeps R right under her wing and it's pretty amazing to witness. 

With each passing day, this young lady grows more beautiful (inside and out). She sets and crushes goals that I would never have imagined for myself at her age. Heck, I'm a little overwhelmed by her goals at my age now!

 She not only makes me proud, but she also inspires me to do better every single day. 

She is a force and I'm glad to be along for the ride. 

D is a blessing and today she turns 12.
