Today is one of the most memorable days of my life. On this day, eleven years ago, I became a mother to one of the most amazing people on the planet. I know it sounds bias, but honestly, if you met D, you would know I'm not exaggerating at all.

D is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Even though she is 11 now, and that sass is real, she cares a great deal for other people's feelings and is always looking for a way to make someone smile.

She is the best big sister, even when she is exasperated with R, she is constantly spending time with her; reading, playing school, or snuggling up and watching a movie. D pours so much love and encouragement into R, it is so beautiful. One of my favorite things in life is catching them in little moments together. 

Her sense of humor is on point. She is so quick to find a pun in almost anything, she even catches ones that I've missed. 

She works so hard to achieve the goals she has. She loves acting and singing and has gone out for and been in school plays and talent shows and she's spent weekends either playing sports or going to programs that teach her things. She is always FEARLESS in her pursuit of what she wants and I'm excited to watch all the doors that continue to open for her because of that. 

D is one of the most amazing people on the planet and today she turns 11.
