What's the one holiday my kids love almost as much as Christmas? You guessed it- Halloween! When I looked at my planner and calendar last night, I couldn't believe that we are mere days away from October 1st. Thankfully, my kids decided on their Halloween costumes several weeks ago, and those are in production. I usually deck our house out for Halloween, but this year, I decided to scale back, and just set out little things like Halloween themed books, and limit the decor to the front porch as we get closer to October 31st.
Since my kids love Halloween so much, though, they were really stoked when I gave them a super cool surprise to get them into the Halloween spirit. They are huge fans of the hit Nickelodeon show, Ryan's World (can't blame them- that kid is straight-up loveable), and watch the show any chance they get. We love seeing what kinds of crazy things Ryan and his parents wind up doing, or which special guests they'll be playing with!
Kiddos everywhere will be jumping for joy this Halloween over a really fun game from Far Out Toys: Ryan's World Springin' Spiders!
This crazy-fun game is probably familiar to parents. It very much reminded me of the classic game Ants in the Pants. This game, however, trades pants and suspenders + a whole bunch of ants for a hanging spider web + large springin' spiders!
B (8) and Beanie (3) both had a great time trying to get their spiders into the web!
This cool game comes with very few pieces and is so easy to set up. It includes the tree pieces to hold the web, the actual web, and several black and white plastic spiders, which are totally creepy.
B was able to set the game up on his own. He separated the spiders by color, and he and his sis took to either side of the spider web. They both pressed down on the backs of the spiders to get them to jump, hoping they would get caught in the web. The first one to get all of their spiders into the web wins, and let me tell you- it's harder than you think!
Spiders everywhere! So much fun!
We laughed our heads off as we played this game. I did help Beanie with hers, but she was able to fling several spiders into the web herself. The game is quick and easy to set up and break down. You can play this game for hours on end- it's that fun! The kids were bummed when I told them that they would have to put the game away until the next day after playing it for nearly an hour!
We decided that we would set this game up at B's upcoming birthday party. I think the kids will have a blast with it!
