Expanding your “Keto Kitchen” with KetoLuxe and Chef Alexa #Review + #Giveaway

Thanks to KetoLuxe for providing me with products for this post. All thoughts are my own.

As a new mom, healthy and quick meals are a huge priority in my house!  As a family, we’ve found that we’re at our healthiest when we cut back on “the white stuff,” namely carbs and sugar.  But, so much that’s commercially available is chock-full of these and cooking everything from scratch isn’t always in the cards, so I’m always on the lookout for items and recipes that take some of the “from-scratch” burden out of keto cooking!  KetoLuxe fits this bill exactly and I’m so excited to introduce them to you!

The KetoLuxe website is based all-around healthy eating, focusing on low carb, gluten-free, whole foods; freely sharing over 100 recipes for delicious meals and foods you wouldn’t have thought you could enjoy while following a keto or gluten-free lifestyle.  In addition to the recipes, Chef and Owner Alexa has a shop that will allow you to fill out your pantry or cupboard with keto-friendly and gluten-free substitutes for all your favorite “cheat” foods!

Simply pick your favorite category and up pops so many options that I thought I had had to cross off my list!  I drooled over catsup, barbecue, and teriyaki sauces from the sauce section!  In the pantry section, I could barely pick between sweet and savory seasoning blends, cornbread mix, fat bombs, and candied pecans.  However, since my sweet tooth is my real stumbling block, the caramel sauce, lemon curd, and bourbon hot fudge sauces called my name!

In the end, having to pick just a few things, I ended up choosing things that I hoped would give me the best overview of the offerings: Allulose, a naturally derived alternative sweetener, Teriyaki sauce, CornbreadMuffin Mix, KetoRito Seasoning Blend, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Fat BombMix.

Putting each to the test, I used the Teriyaki sauce first as a glaze on steak and chicken as well as adding it to a bowl of Ramen, each turned out delicious!

I made the Cornbread Muffins and Chocolate Chip Cookie Fat Bombs according to the package instructions and even my picky family was very pleased with the result!  On the Cornbread, I let it go a little long in the oven, so please don't blame the mix for my distracted baking (it's hard to get baking times right while wrangling an 8-month-old)!

For the Allulose sweetener and KetoRito Seasoning, I was a little stumped for ideas, so I turned to the KetoLuxe recipes for ideas!  For the Allulose, the first thing tired was the recipe for Lemon Shakeup, a lemonade style drink; you can find the recipe here.  As an avid lemonade drinker, my expectations were high, and I can say that this did not disappoint!  My favorite part is that, unlike commercially available lemonade, I can control the balance of flavors to suit my own tastes!  I should mention here that I generally avoid artificial sweeteners, as they all have a bad aftertaste to me, and I did not notice this with the Allulose!  I also tried adding Allulose to my morning coffee and enjoyed it as a carb-free treat!

The KetoRito Seasoning recreates the flavor of another family favorite: nacho cheese-flavored Doritos! Turning again to the recipe list, I made KetoRito Cauliflower by simply tossing cauliflower florets in oil and the seasoning and then oven roasting!  Absolutely delicious! And I loved that, instead of a list of chemicals as long as my arm, this seasoning packet contained all ingredients that I could pronounce!
