Brighten Someone's Day with a Handwritten Note + Pilot Pen Prize Pack #Giveaway

Thank you to Pilot for providing samples for my review. All thoughts are my own.

How do you typically correspond with people in your life? When I was a child, there was nothing I loved more than receiving a handwritten letter or card. All through my 20's, I cherished and saved just about every piece of mail I was ever sent. Fast forward to today, and I can't remember the last time I received an actual handwritten letter... or the last time I wrote and sent one, myself.

It's kind of sad to realize the way that letter-writing has faded away. It's something that I loved so much, and with social media's ease of use, I can send a quick message to anyone I want, anytime, and they'll receive it instantly. Does that quick message reflect me, though? Not really. There's no personality there. I didn't really have to take time out of my day to write it, seal it, stamp it and send it. It doesn't mean that digital messages don't count, but they seem a bit less thoughtful than a handwritten message, no?

This season, I've been inspired to start writing to my friends and family members again, thanks to Pilot! February was International Correspondence Writing Month which encourages people to reach out to those that they love OR maybe even a stranger, with the use of pen and paper!

Lift someone's spirits with a handwritten note!

Pilot, of course, makes the amazing pens you've probably used and loved for years, but they also have lots of other wonderful writing instruments which are helping me to discover just how fun letter writing can be.

FriXion Erasable Ink Pens are perfect for jotting quick notes and adding a pop of color! My toddler usually bumps into the table or my chair or begs to get into my lap when I am working on something, and we often have little mishaps with writing instruments. These pens are awesome because you can erase and fix your little oops in a jiffy. I've also been able to get creative with their Watercolor Brush Pens, Gel Pastels, Lettering Pens, and more!

Here are a few thought starters for sending a quick note:

*Writing a note to a stranger to remind them that they are doing great!

*Sending an old fashioned letter to someone you love, like a grandparent.

*Is your favorite gal pal starting a new job or just got through a bad breakup? A quick note of love can help boost them up!

  16. I just received a handwritten letter from my aunt. I can not tell you how much it hit me in the heart, she wrote about when I was born and how she and my other 2 aunts felt like I was their baby too. I want to write letters to all those I love and give them that same feeling. Handwritten letters are a way to show that you took the time to write it out, put it in an envelope and mail it.

I followed on BlogLovin So I don’t know where else you would like me to share? Because I don’t feel right taking credit until I do something
