Cool Whip + Powdered Sugar = A Delicious and Messy Treat!

I am probably the messiest baker in the kitchen you have ever seen.  At least, that is what my husband says.  I love to try out new recipes...easy recipes are my favorite.  I saw this recipe for Cool Whip Cookies go across my Facebook page and the picture of the cookies immediately reminded me of a cookie I had seen or had before.  I took a look at the recipe, and it was so simple I decided to give it a try.

This was one of the treats I did during my Christmas baking and gave as special gifts to many friends and Aiden's teachers.  They turned out so good and were so super easy but they were so messy.  I had powdered sugar all over my kitchen!  I should have taken a picture of my kitchen, to document the mess.

The 3 ingredients needed for these yummy cookies plus 1 egg per batch.

The cool whip, cake mix and egg mixed and ready for a dip in the powdered sugar.

Heading into the oven.

Yum!  Fresh out of the oven.

I hope you will give these cookies a try.  You can use any flavor of cake mix that you like.  I have done white and chocolate.  I plan on doing a batch of red velvet, because that is my favorite cake.  These will be cookies that I can use as a go to throughout the year, not just at Christmas.  It's fun to get messy in the kitchen...let me know how yours turn out!

Cool Whip Cookies

1 Box any flavor cake mix
1 8oz. Cool Whip
1 egg

Mix together and drop by the teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar.  Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.  Let them cool before removing from the cookie sheet.

Enjoy!
