Time For Soup Thursdays-Starting a New Trend?

Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are all having a great week. I am looking forward to the weekend, even though the forecast is calling for more of the frigid temperatures we've been experiencing over the last few days.
It happened so quickly; we went from temps in the upper 60s to temps in the upper 30s just over the last few days! Here at Wigglesworth Manor, that means we eat more soups and stews, so I think I'll start up a "Time for Soup Thursday" or "Soups On Saturday" trend during my weekly meal planning.

A nice bowl of tomato soup. We got this bowl from Livliga's 'Kidliga' line!

Could it Be the New Taco Tuesday?

I had already planned on making tomato soup for dinner tonight, even before I knew that the predicted high temp of the day was only going to be 46°. Once I heard the expected forecast for the next few days, it became clear that it was time for me to start adding a regular soup (or stew)  night to the weekly meal plan.

I have a few favorite go-to soups. Over the next few weeks, we'll be enjoying homemade chicken soup, split pea soup, Portuguese stew, stuffed pepper soup, and many others.
I am looking forward to adding a few new favorites as well because I love being in the kitchen, especially during the cooler months!

Do you think you'll add a "Time for Soup Thursday" or "Soups On Saturday" to your weekly meal plan? I'd love to hear what kinds of soups you'll be enjoying, so be sure to let me know in the comments!

  1. I like this idea! It has went from upper 80s to 60 today so I could go for some soup right now!
