There is almost nothing sweeter than dressing your little ones when they're small. I used to love picking out sweet and adorable seasonal basics and outfits for my son when he was a baby and toddler. It wasn't long before he felt 'too cool' for mom to be picking out his clothes, which of course, made mom kind of sad. I'm blessed to also be mom to a sweet and sassy little girl, and choosing girls clothes is a whole other level of fun, especially since my girl absolutely loves to dress up!

A Twirly Dress for All Seasons

I try not to be overly choosy when it comes to what my kids wear. My son is content in pants or shorts and tees, but sweet Little Bean loves dresses, tunics, fancy shoes, and bows. I try to steer-away from cookie-cutter outfits that look like every other outfit I see on wee ones and go for something a bit out-of-the-box.

We recently found Alice + Ames, a beautiful clothing company that was founded in 2015 by a mom of three girls, hoping to create clothing that both she and her girls would love. The result has been a brilliant and beautiful line of anything but typical basics and more for girls, which has become so well-loved by mothers and daughters, alike.

Ballet Dress in Spice

One of Alice + Ames' newest designs has become a fall staple in my little girl's wardrobe- the ballet dress! This design is so well-loved and wanted, it's a big seller for the clothing brand. This versatile dress is available in a variety of solid colors and patterns, and it the perfect dress for fall! We actually have this dress in spice and mustard, and love them both! Bean asks to wear these constantly, telling me that they make her feel 'fancy'. 

This is a fun and twirly play dress, perfect to dress up or down for all of your favorite fall and holiday occasions. It features a scooped low back, and a circle skirt, which makes twirling and dancing even more fun! It's soft and stretchy, moves with your girl, and is comfortable to wear all day long. Bean is 2 years old, and usually wears a 2T, which is what we chose in this dress. It does run a bit on the snug size so I would suggest ordering up 1 size unless your sweet little one is on the smaller side.

Play hard all day, even in a dress!

Bean has worn each dress alone with nothing else over or underneath on warmer days. On cooler days, we sometimes pair the dresses with leggings and an open shirt over top or sweater/jacket. It's really fun to mix and match this dress with other pieces in your girl's closet for a unique look all her own!
