Rock Your Kitchen Like a Pro with the Mini Pie & Quiche Maker from CucinaPro + #Giveaway

Calling all pie lovers! I am a pie-lovin' mama, and I don't have a preference as to which types of pies I enjoy over others. Over the years, I have learned that pie-making is a true skill and an art. There are a lot of tips and tricks that I have learned through my years of homemaking when it comes to pies. There are so many different types of pies- sweet and savory, pies that are made to be sliced and shared, and even handhelds.

I don't make pies very often. I prefer to make my pie dough from scratch, and it can be time-consuming. If I'm going to make a quick pie or quiche and need to go with a store-bought crust, I go for the Pillsbury Deep Dish Pie Crusts every time. They are consistently better tasting and they bake better, too. Plus- if I need to work with the dough and cut out shapes, etc., it's the easiest to work with.

The Mega Pie... a Time-Consuming Masterpiece

The last time I made pie at home, I tried my hand at making this mega pie that I saw in a video from The Food Network. It consisted of apple, cherry, pumpkin, and pecan pies, sectioned off on a baking sheet. It was enormous, and while fun to make and even more fun to eat, it was crazy time-consuming! I quickly realized that while these pies were delicious, I would never make a monster pie like this again. We just didn't need that much pie, and I just don't have that kind of spare time.

Work Smarter, Faster & Enjoy Pies More Often with CucinaPro!

I am already a big fan of CucinaPro products and kitchen appliances. I've enjoyed using their waffle cone maker and crepe maker at home. As often as we make quiche for dinner or for friends, I knew the Mini Pie and Quiche Maker from CucinaPro would really help us out in saving time all while making delicious smaller versions of quiches and pies.

CucinaPro's Mini Pie & Quiche Maker

This amazing small appliance is fantastic! It comes with everything you see here- the actual appliance, a guide and recipe book, and a dough cutting tool (2 sided). To use the Mini Quiche & Pie Maker, simply plug it in to warm it up.
***This appliance becomes extremely hot! Keep out of reach of children at all times!***

Place the dough circles into the wells and gently push down with two fingers.

To prep your dough, roll it out, and then use the larger side of the round dough cutter to cut a circle for the bottom of the mini pie, and use the smaller side to cut out a piece of dough for the top. The guidebook comes with lots of recipes and ideas for pies, including an easy pie dough recipe, and filling ideas like chocolate, fruits, quiche ideas, and even chicken pot pies! Yum!

We've made some really yummy Chocolate pies with the CucinaPro Mini Pie & Quiche Maker. Chocolate Chess Pie is one of our favorites, and I made a simple chocolate pie filling that tastes just as good!  Plus, it's crazy easy to make- just takes a few minutes!

Fill them up with pie filling and close the lid to let them cook 6-8 minutes.

Golden brown deliciousness!

My Mini Chocolate Pies didn't turn out perfectly, but the instruction booklet that came with the mini pie maker even says that it'll take you a few tries to get the pies just right. It's a learning process for me, and I'll know that I'll need to do a better job of evening out the dough for next time so I can get a completely round and crimped dough on the pies.

The pies were crazy yummy, and the kids especially loved the mini size!

Chocolate Pie Filling Recipe

4 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips or Baker's Chocolate
1 Stick (1/2 Cup) Unsalted Butter (cut into pieces)
3 TBSP Cocoa Powder
4 Whole Eggs
1 1/2 Cups of Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp. Salt
3 TBSP Light Corn Syrup

In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter together over a low heat.
Meanwhile, combine all other ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Once the chocolate and butter is melted, gently pour into the mixing bowl and stir with other ingredients until fully incorporated.

Use as pie filling for the mini pie maker or bake in 1 pie shell at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Mini Quiches are super easy, too!

I was making a large quiche at least twice a month for myself and hubby to enjoy. We like having quiche for quick dinners with a side salad on busy nights. With the Mini Pie & Quiche Maker, I can quickly make six mini-quiches. I only use the bottom crust for these, which leaves extra pie dough for me to make two batches of mini quiches. Mini quiches pack so much better in a lunch box than large pieces of quiche.

My favorite quiche recipe is Spinach, Mozzarella, and Red Pepper.

3 Eggs
1/2 cup Fresh Spinach
Splash of Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Hubby's favorite quiche recipe is Quiche Lorraine.

3 Eggs
Splash of Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/3 Cup Diced Ham
1/4 Cup Diced Sweet Onion
Salt and Pepper to Taste

For either recipe, add pie dough to the bottom of the pie maker & fill the wells 3/4 of the way with the egg mixture. Close the lid and follow cooking directions in the guidebook. You'll wind up with perfectly golden brown mini quiches that are perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. They reheat well and take way less time to bake than a full quiche, which would take 45-60 minutes in the oven.

I haven't tried my hand at making biscuits or the chicken pot pies in my Mini Pie & Quiche Maker yet, but they're on my list for next week! I can't wait to make homemade mini chicken pot pies! The best thing about making them this way is that I can customize the veggies in each mini pie. Everyone gets what they like, and that makes me a happy mom! You can even go crustless and make just the eggs without the pie crust.
