Real Sun Protection for the Whole Family: Real Shades #Review + #Giveaway

Is it just me, or have January and February felt like they've lasted forever? I usually enjoy winter, but this winter has been very cold, rainy, and endlessly grey. I'm a gal who loves sunshine and blue skies, so when there's even a hint of a partly sunny day this time of year, you'll find me outside, enjoying it. My whole family loves to spend time outdoors, and with two little kids, keeping them safe is my number one priority.

Safety goes beyond just making sure I have eyes on them at all times, and that hazards are out of the picture. I also have a responsibility to protect them from the things that are often overlooked, such as exposure to the sun. We need the sunshine- there's no doubt about it, but we also have to be sensible when we're out enjoying its warmth and light. We take extra measures to protect our skin, even on cloudy days. We use UV protectant clothing and lotions, etc, and we also protect our eyes with proper eyewear.

I haven't been so great in the past about taking proper care of my vision. I wear corrective lenses (contacts), and have done all of the things you're not supposed to do- sleep in them, wear them for a month without changing them, etc. It wasn't until I read few articles on eye health that I realized I could be contributing to a bigger problem with my eyesight down the road- or even potential blindness. Truth time: I have a hot pair of designer sunglasses that were $$$, and I have a love/hate relationship with them. Love the way they look, but hate the way they fit! I've been searching for cute, stylish sunglasses that would fit my face, block out light, and protect my eyes, of course. I should have known that Real Shades would have the answer to my problem. Their gorgeous Shine sunglasses are fashion forward and fabulous! I love they way they fit and feel. They don't slide down my nose or fall off my face when I lean forward, which is a huge win for me! They're stylish, and aren't so tight-fitting that they give me a headache when I wear them. I love them. I ditched the designer brand and switched to my Shine sunglasses for good. They're much more practical, comfortable, and look just as great, if not even better! Plus- I could buy twelve pairs of of the Shine sunglasses for what my other pair cost. Gasp!
