A Fun Family Adventure That's Out of This World: Aliens Ate My Homework #AAMH

Thanks to Universal Entertainment for providing me with a copy of this DVD for review purposes. All thoughts are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.

I consider myself a pretty lucky parent. Not every kid actually wants to do their homework on a school night. Our after school routine is pretty typical. We walk in the door, change out of the uniform, hang up the backpack, and then have some chill time and enjoy a snack. My son is a first-grader, and his after-school chill time is everything.

While B chills out, I usually clean out his lunchbox, prep it for lunch the next day, and then check his daily folder, signing papers, and so on. After a chill time, we move straight onto homework. I like to have B get it done and out of the way, so we can have family time after his dad gets home from work. B has never fought me on doing his homework. The bulk of his homework comes home on Mondays and is due the following Wednesday. He does it all on Monday night and sends it back on the following day.

I know it won't always be this easy for us. Second grade will bring about new subjects, learning a second language, and yes- more homework. I hope my son will always be good-natured about doing homework, but certainly, remember what it was like to not want to do homework when I was in school.

The intergalactic adventure Aliens Ate My Homework arrives on DVD, Digital, and On Demand March 6th, 2018! The film adaption of the first book from the popular Rod Allbright and the Galactic Patrol series by Bruce Coville follows a pair of middle schoolers racing to save the world from destruction after extraterrestrials invade Earth.

Aliens Ate My Homework entertains and empowers young audiences with humor, heart, and a whole lot of imagination. The film starring William Shatner is the first of a planned series of inventive action-comedies from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Our Thoughts...

B was so excited to see this DVD waiting for him after school. He grabbed it and hugged me, asking to watch it. He said it looked really cool! From the cast and characters to the fun storyline, this was a great movie! B could definitely relate to the kids, and I thought it was so fun that William Shatner voiced one of the characters, as well.
This movie is packed with adventure, and a lot of cool science, which B totally loves! It's definitely worth seeing with your kids, and even adding to your home movie collection!
