Have you ever been in an exercise slump? Lately, I've been having trouble staying motivated to work out. After the birth of my son, seven years ago, I took him on walks twice a day and did cardio/toning exercises on top of that. The baby weight just melted off, and I was back to my pre-baby weight in a matter of just a few months. It's been a different story for me after the birth of my daughter, five and a half years after the birth of my son. The baby weight has hung around, despite constant nursing and watching what I eat.

I know that I am struggling to find the time to exercise right now, and it's really taking a toll on me. Not exercising like I used to is contributing to those pesky 10 or so pounds that just keep hanging on. I recently made a plan to organize my day and make better use of my time, incorporating exercise into my daily routine. Tired of my boring old yoga pants, I was ready for some new activewear that would help me stay comfortable during my workouts.

Now, this is what I call a great work out outfit!

I am overly choosy about what I wear when I work out. I may go from aerobic walking to the yoga mat in one swoop, and don't have time for wardrobe changes in between. When I'm working out, I am looking for apparel that will be comfortable, breathable, and that I can wear at home until I'm ready to shower or change for the evening. I like to go with a comfortable pant or capri, which is a snug fit, and a cute tank top.

Here's what I love about these performance capris... they're so comfy! They are the most comfortable pair of activewear apparel I now own. They are so soft, I wish I could wear them all day, every day. They really do feel like second skin, without being too tight. They allow me to move as quickly as I want or need to when walking or jogging (or chasing kids). They also stay put when I'm on the mat. When I am engaged in a pilates workout, I need my clothes to stay put so that I can move freely. The racerunner crop skins allow me to move my lower half with precision and complete routines without flapping pant legs getting stuck.

There's also a handy side pocket for my phone, which is amazing! I always take my phone with me when I'm out walking in our neighborhood. There's even a zippered pocket in the back, which is a great place to store earbuds. I'm a size 4 and wearing the pants in a medium. I'm glad that I didn't go with the small, which is what I normally go for... they would have been too snug. If you're looking for a great pair of running pants, you'll definitely want a pair of these! I didn't want to take them off after my workout- I could have slept in them!

If you've looked through my IG posts lately, you've probably noticed that half of my posts are coffee related. I am running on caffeine, and there's no denying it. This cute tank is the perfect addition to my workout wardrobe, and it's also great just for everyday wear. It's super soft and comfortable. I love working out in it- it certainly grabs attention that that adorable crown over the text. Our mail carrier saw me wearing this shirt and said, 'Oh, man... I need to get that for my wife! Where'd you find that shirt?!' I have a feeling that lots of moms out there will want this tank!

I can definitely see myself wearing this tank as a casual tank in warm weather, or with a cute cardigan. It's a must-have for any caffeine lover!
