Make Time for Easter Memories

It's Spring Break for this little dude! I was really worried that having both kids at home with me this week would be maddening, but I have been pleasantly surprised. B can sometimes have a bit of an attitude problem (as we all can), but he has been so patient, helpful, and kind this week. We started the week off by visiting Dan Nicholas Park on Sunday afternoon. It's one of the premier parks in our area, and has everything from paddle boats and hiking trails to a wildlife adventure and carousel.

We'll probably head back to the park before the week is over. There are lots of playgrounds, and we didn't get to go to the reptile house, the petting barn, the gem mine, or the mini golf course. Yes- it's such a cool park. I know the kids will want to ride the train and the carousel again, too. I'm looking forward to a spring picnic with them.

We'll gather with extended family on Good Friday afternoon for our annual egg dyeing, and then we'll go to church service together that evening, followed by ice cream. On Sunday, we'll go to church services and Easter breakfast. We'll spend the afternoon hunting eggs and discovering Easter baskets at my mom and dad's house, and celebrate my dad's birthday.

The week leading up to Easter is always crazy busy for my musical, and church-involved family, but we're making time to do some art, make some yummy Easter treats, and just enjoy each other's company. The years go by way too fast for us to skip over all of these fun memory-making opportunities.

I hope that you'll take some time to make memories with your loved ones this Easter season!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
