When fictional Dr. Doolittle sang, “if I could talk to the animals, just imagine it,” the concept of smart devices and Bluetooth technology was a far off dream. Today amazing things can happen with the swipe of a finger that inspires children to focus and thus learn, even at a very young age. A stuffed animal really can talk (technically lip synch) to tots in the form of Leo the Lion, Hudson the Puppy or Riley the Zebra. These three are part of a collection called Bluebee Pals. Prop up a laptop, tablet or smart phone onto their laps and tuck into their plush arms. Then watch the magic begin!
I could absolutely not wait for my little people to open this box! There are 2 things my kids love more than anything... and that is stuffed animals & reading! I always hesitate on buying stuffed animals, cause really, what do they do?!? lol... well this one does A LOT!

Riley The Zebra is one of five plushy learning tools that moves its mouth as it talks, sings and reads to a child. The magic is actually a connection to any Bluetooth enabled phone, tablet or laptop from Apple to Android. Each loveable stuffed animal has a mesmerizing feature -- lip synchronization – that allows the pal’s lips to move while singing a downloaded tune or engaging with various learning apps. He is SO soft and adorable!! I thought he would have a hard middle... to support batteries and what-not... but it is not at all! It is super soft and actually runs off a small lithium rechargeable phone battery. No hard middle for him =) If he was just a regular stuffed animal she would have been happy... but then we synced him up with her iPad... and then she saw what he could really do!
They have played ABCMouse, NickJr. Games, PBS kids games, Raz kidz & Epic! Reading with it. He instantly syncs with any of it and starts reading away. It is SUPER EASY to sync! Once you sync him, just turn him on and go!

This is an AMAZING tool to create excitement about reading! My kids feet hit the ground this morning and couldn't wait to get Riley out to read more! They spent hours reading books this weekend with him. I am also an instructional aide in a kindergarten classroom, and the kids FLIPPED over Riley at school! I can't include classroom pics on the blog.. but I promise you.. they LOVE him!!! Any of the Bluebee Pals would make an AWESOME teacher gift this holiday season! I plan on using Riley a TON both at home and at school!!!
