Oh, baby! We're down to just seven weeks and a few days before Baby S arrives, and I am so excited! I can't wait to have my sweet girl in my arms. We are slowly, yet surely getting our house in order for her arrival. We've had a bit of an interesting time making space for baby essentials. We have two bedrooms right now, and we don't want the baby sharing a room with her five-year-old brother, so she'll be rooming in with hubby and me for a few months. We've rearranged our bedroom so we have half of the room for our furniture and the other half for hers.

We just got the crib set up a few days away, and I am excitedly adding things here and there to prep the space. We have a long way to go, because we haven't decorated, and her crib bedding is being custom made by her Grammy, so we're still sort of bare bones.

Once we figured out what type of crib we wanted (something simple and chic), we were able to begin adding in other items like a crib and bedding essentials. I was excited to find BabeeTalk, an organic baby product company specializing in organic baby bedding and toys.

I know that I am not going to be able to provide my baby with all organic products, but I prefer organic when I am able to find or afford them. When I was pregnant with my son, we really didn't have a lot of money and relied on the kindness and generosity of family and friends who showered us with baby essentials. These days, I know a lot more about baby products than I did then. I know that organic cotton is safe, and comfy for baby, and is a healthier option, as well.

We're going with a gray, white and light pink theme for S, so I was very pleased to find this lovely light gray crib skirt from Babee Talk. As I unwrapped the crib skirt, I loved how soft and creamy it felt. I almost felt bad that this would just be draped over the crib, and that my baby wouldn't actually be sleeping on it. I washed it and then fit it right over the sides of the crib, pulling it and evening it out as needed.

The crib skirt looks great with the darker gray crib sheet against it.

The crib sheet also covers well, so that I can hide items that are stored underneath the crib for later use.

I love the longer length of this crib skirt. There are some baby items that we're not going to use right away, like baby-proofing items, a humidifier, extra diapers, and wipes, etc. I can easily slide and store these items underneath the crib, and the crib skirt provides elegant coverage. Looks great with our rug, too- don't you think?

These cute pals are going to get a lot of love from Baby S once she's old enough to grasp them! Aren't they sweet?

The Eco-Buds Take-Along Pal Elephant is so cute!

I love this little elephant, and so does big brother B! It goes right along with the pink and gray elephant theme we're using in the nursery. It's soft and cuddly, and perfect for Baby S to love, hold and chew on as she grows. The elephant has crinkle ears, and I remember how much B loved crinkle toys when he was a babe. She's going to love this!

This organic toy is every bit as adorable as its elephant friend! I love the little stretchy pull on it, with the wooden teething ring. I have found myself being a bit overprotective as far as teethers go because I want to make sure I am giving my baby the safest toys possible.

I am definitely going to have to add the Eco-Teether Crib Rail Cover to our crib for S. I would hate to take the chance of her teething and chewing on her crib rail. We were lucky that B never did that, but all babies are different! I think this is such a clever design, and I wish that I'd had one when B was younger, just in case!

Any of BabeeTalk's organic baby products would make wonderful gifts for baby! I have a baby shower coming up, and if I hadn't just received some of these items, you'd better believe I would have included them in my registry! I can still add the crib rail cover, though... and more Take-Along Pals, too! I'd even love to pick up a couple of the Pals for my niece, who is four months old.
