Safe and Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products for the Holiday Season: #Review + #Giveaway

I received product free of charge in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

My house is in a constant state of chaos. We sort of outgrew our house a few years ago, but not knowing where we might be in a year or two, we haven't wanted to make a move or purchase property in our town. We've been trying to make do with what we have, though it's cramped. We're constantly receiving packages, piling up boxes, tracking dirt and leaves into the house, not to mention everyday traffic dust and dirt. I used to be a clean freak, but now that we're busier than ever, I have less time to clean and keep up with the laundry.

In a few months, we'll be adding a sweet new baby to our family. I am trying to get back into the habit of keeping everything ultra clean, wiped down, and keep up with daily loads of laundry. I have to be careful about the cleaning products I use while pregnant, and after the baby arrives, I'll want to make sure I'm using products that are safe for baby, and the rest of my family.

I was recently introduced to ECOS Earth Friendly Products. Earth Friendly Products will create products for home and personal use that are derived from replenishable resources. They pledge to provide customers with products that will provide efficacy, value, and are environmentally-responsible. They will never test on animals or use animal ingredients in our products. And  will conduct business in a socially responsible manner that safe guards the earth, and all its inhabitants.

I had the opportunity to try out some of the ECOS products for myself, in my home. This is such a busy time of year, and we have people coming and going at our house all the time. It can be hard to keep it looking clean and smelling fresh. I couldn't wait to put some of these eco-friendly cleaning products to the test!

We received the Baby ECOS Hypoallergenic Laundry Detergent.

I remember being so panicked about what type of laundry detergent would be safe to use to wash baby clothes before B was born five years ago. I am already starting to wash some new baby clothes, and will start picking up more when we find out our baby's gender this week! This is a gentle detergent, and makes the clothing so super soft. I am thankful that it's hypoallergenic. B had such sensitive skin when he was tiny, and I assume the new baby will, too. My husband even has some sensitivity issues, so I use this on some of his undershirts, as well! He loves it!

Natural Pet Formula

We don't have pets at our house, but my parents have a dog, so this was passed to them. The Natural Pet Formula Detergent is awesome for laundering your pet's clothing and accessories. Syd has a pet bed, lovie toys, and pillows that need to be washed on a regular basis. Other detergents can be harsh and unsafe for our pets. This is a natural, gentle formula that cleanses and freshens.

Eco Breeze Freshener

I like the idea of fabric fresheners. Truly, I do. Most of the brands I have tried leave me sneezing, and right now, my body is extra sensitive to certain scents. The Eco Breeze Freshener is a safe, gentle, fresh smelling formula for fabrics. If you live with boys, you'll know what I mean when I say that sometimes you just need to get that funky boy smell out of the house- and this stuff does the trick. It doesn't make me sneeze my head off, either, which I love!

Baby ECOS Toy & Table Cleaner

I am so thankful to have this handy cleaner on hand! We sometimes watch the daughter of our good friends, and when she and B play together, I like to make sure I wipe all of the toys and play areas down before and after. I love them both- my son, and their little girl, but they both bring germs home from preschool and daycare, and share them with one another. They're not quite out of the stage of keeping stuff out of their mouths either (will that ever end?), so I want to make sure the toys are germ free before play time! After play time is over, all it takes is a quick squeeze, and wipe- and then everything's all clean again!

All Surface Cleaner

Do you ever walk around the house with a pack of baby wipes, and just wipe everything down with them? No lie- I have been known to do that, but let's face it... baby wipes are not cleaning products. I love the ECOS Baby All Surface Cleaner, because it's safe for all surfaces. I can use it in the kitchen, the bathroom, and on other furniture and surfaces in the house. It's a safe formula- no harsh chemicals, so I don't have to worry about fumes or anything like that.

Baby ECOS Bottle & Dish Wash

When you have kids and babies, you want to make sure that their mealtime dishes are truly getting clean, with a safe, gentle cleanser that will still do the dirty work. I was such a freak about this when B was a baby. I don't know if I'll be as anxious the second time around, but I know that I want the wash I use on bottles, etc, to be safe. This is a great liquid cleanser to keep at the sink and use on baby's mealtime dishes!

  15. Definitely the bathroom. Since last year when I got pregnant I have been avoiding the chemicals that I normally use to clean the shower area and focused on the areas that others could easily see and it's gotten pretty bad.

  21. Yes, the cleaning products should be safe enough. Otherwise it may harm the babies and create allergies. There are a lot of cleaning product in market which though cleans superbly but not safe for the babies and other persons too. These products generate a lot of allergy creating elements and reactions which is not good for the baby skins. And babies are always unpredictable and they completely unaware about the real world. They lie on ground and even tastes the underlying elements if they find them attractive. Anyways, thank you for all these information.
