Re-Think Meal time with Re-play Dishes #Review and #Giveaway

In our house, meal times can be sort of stressful. It's always a mad rush to get everyone in the house to the table, and to happily sit down together for a meal. Not only am I dealing with picky eaters, but I also have a five-year-old, who happens to be extra picky about his dinnerware. We're not past spills and food accidents yet, so we're not yet using our real plates with B. We like to keep it safe, and simple- for him, and for us. When it comes to dinnerware for kids, however, I won't use just anything.

My child's dinner plate, cup, and accessories have to be safe, durable, and reliable. When I heard about Re-Play be Re-Think It, I knew I had to check their products out. Re-Play products are made from recycled HDPE, which is #2 plastic, and is BPA free, Phthalate Free, PVC free.According to the Healthy Child Healthy World website, if you are unsure about safely using plastic items, look for the recycling codes 2, 4 or 5. Recycling codes 1, 3, and 6 can leach lead, bisphenol A, phthalates, and other stuff under certain circumstances. Recycling code 7 is the Other category. Some of these plastics are safer choices, like bioplastics such as PLA, while others can leach chemicals, etc. Read your labels for more information and proper care. Like most plastics (and melamine), Re-Play is dishwasher safe and should not be used in the microwave.

We were offered the opportunity to check out the Re-Play Solid Set in Green. B is a huge fan of the color green, and as much of a big boy as he is, this is still a great set for him.

One of my favorite pieces of the Solid Set by Re-Play, the snack pod.

The snack pod is a great size. We love filling it with healthy snacks like homemade popcorn, peanut butter with apple slices, dried fruit, etc. It's a wonderful size for B, who often has a hearty appetite, but doesn't need an adult sized portion of food. B can manage the snack pod by himself, and simply twist the cap on/off without assistance, which is a big help to mom and dad,

The three section plate is perfect for any meal of the day!

We love the three sectioned plate, because B is so much like his daddy in that he doesn't like his food touching each other on the plate. The sections keep the foods separated, and my boy happy! I love being able to put a protein or main entree in the largest section, and then adding a fruit or veggie and side to the other sections. It also works well for snack time when we're having an 'activity snack,' which requires us to actually make a snack, and then eat it.

The perfect kid-sized bowl for snacks and more!

I am in love with this bowl! It's so much sturdier, and larger than most of our other kids bowls. When we have meals like spaghetti, cereal, or desserts like ice cream, this bowl allows us to give B just the right portion- without it being too little, or too much for him. The tumbler is also a great size for B. It's s big kid cup, and I don't have to worry about it shattering, if it hits the floor (and it already has).

As with all of the pieces included in the Solid Set, they are incredibly durable. Since they are made from recycled BPA-free plastics, I can feel good about placing these pieces in front of my child at meal time. The pieces with this set are perfect for use at home or on the go. It has become our favorite travel set, which we take with us on trips.
