When it comes to finding a gift for dad that he could really use, and enjoy, I tend to think about gift ideas that may be overlooked. There are a lot of gift ideas that come to mind for Father's Day, but when I give a gift to my husband or my own dad, I want it to be special, and practical. My husband isn't really into sports, and doesn't have a big list of hobbies. He likes useful gifts. My guy works for himself, and owns his own home restoration business, as well as freelances as a musician. During the summer, hubby works outside a lot of the time, and it's part of my job to make sure that he's well protected. I keep his work clothing washed, make sure he has the sunscreen and hats he needs, has clean water bottles, etc. His eyes happen to be very sensitive to sunlight, so a good pair of well-fitting men's sunglasses are a must for him.

Sacha had a pair of sunglasses he really liked, but they never stayed in place, which is a hazard when working with tools, etc. I knew that a new pair of men's sunglasses would make a great Father's Day gift, so I turned to Visionworks for a little guidance.

The Nike Stride Sunglasses came with a handsome case, with a snap closure, and a cleansing cloth. The fact that the frames weren't too thick or thin appealed to me, and I knew that Sacha would like them. He has had issues with frames being too thin or thick in the past. We both really liked the classic black frame of these sunglasses, as well as the shape of the sunglasses.

The brown case has the NIKE logo inside, and comes with a soft cloth to clean the lenses with.

The first time Sacha wore the Nike Stride Sunglasses, he was hooked on them! He loved the fit, and noticed that there was zero slippage. No one likes frames that are too loose over the ears, and slide down the nose. These seemed to be a perfect fit for him, which made us both very happy. Sacha noted that these sunglasses block out more light than any pair of sunglasses he has owned before, which was a huge plus!

Sacha is not one to spend a lot of time outdoors after a typical work day, especially if he's worked out in the heat all day. He tends to grow tired of the bright sun, as well, so I was surprised that he was eager to spend some time out on the porch after work. He said that the sunglasses made it much easier to tolerate the brightness of the sun. He also loves wearing the Nike Stride Sunglasses while he's driving. He said he wished he'd had these when we went to the beach a few weeks ago. We have a few other summer trips coming up (with lots of driving), so he's happy that he'll have these non-slip sunglasses on those journeys!
