Mommy Loves Baby: A Sweet Bedtime Ritual for Families + Board Book #Giveaway

I remember putting my baby to sleep like it was yesterday. We had our own bedtime ritual, which included a calming lavender bath, a massage with baby lotion, feeding, and singing, reading and rocking to sleep. I loved those moments, and since then, bedtime has become a very special time for cuddling and bonding for me and my son (now four years old).

Reading and singing are a part of our daily lives. My husband and I love to sing, and have been singing to B since he was a tiny babe. We also started reading to B, when he was still in the womb, so we're not at all surprised that he absolutely loves to read and sing now. We read on and off through out the day, but bedtime is when B and I really settle down to snuggle and read together. It's such a sweet time- probably the part of the day I look forward to the most.

We recently received a copy of Mommy Loves Baby, a sweet picture book and lullaby, by Troy Muilenburg, and Illustrated by Andrea Dickkut. The baby board book Mommy Loves Baby presents an easy way of sharing a beautiful time with little ones. The author has created a lullaby that sets the mood to comfort and strengthen the bond. These simple, flowing words can be spoken or can be put to music on the page. With lively animal illustrations, this interactive opportunity engages adults and children together.

We love animals, and sweet stories about family love between mommies and their babies. Mommy Loves Baby tells the story of mommy and baby- being together, and loving one another. The book then goes on to show daddy and baby- also loving to be with one another, and loving each other. The book also shows mommy and daddy- who love to be with one another, and love each other. The book closes with mommy, and daddy, and baby- all together as one family- loving one another.

We absolutely love this book, and don't really want to part with it, but B and I both agreed that it would make a sweet gift for 'Baby Hulk,' my sister-in-law's baby-to-be (B gave the baby the name Baby Hulk- he can't wait to have a cousin!). This book would make a fantastic gift for new parents, or a mommy-to-be in your life, or would be a wonderful baby gift! We can't wait to share it with Aunt Rachel, Uncle Thomas, and Baby Hulk!

About the Author

Troy Muilenburg was born and raised in Iowa amongst corn stalks and the field of dreams where his passion was participating in all sports, but especially basketball. His avenue to see the world was playing professional basketball. He played in the CBA and overseas in Australia for 3 years and holds the honor of 3 time all-star and the National Player of the year in his final season.

Over the years, he and his family have had a lot of laughs and good times. It began at an early age with frequent trips to parks and Zoos that typically ended with them reading books and/or making up stories at bedtime. Everyone was involved in either picking their favorite book or making up one of the many stories that were being told each night. The thought that these books can assist other families and bring them closer together as a family is the reason he is sharing his stories. With this in mind, you may begin to understand the writing efforts of Troy Muilenburg.
