I'm torn between keeping it simple since, at one, it's really more a celebration for us and making a big deal since, after all, he only turns one once.

What are you planning or what did you do for your little one's first birthday? Any tips for making it a success?
We did a party for family and close friends when B turned one. It turned out to be a lot of work, but it was such a special day for us! We did a jungle theme, and it was a lot of fun! -O
