I can't remember the last time I felt more ready for spring than I do right now. We've had a chilly, yet mild winter season in the south up until last week, when we were blasted with a winter storm which dumped ice and snow in our area, and then the temperatures dropped into the single digits! This week, it's warming back up, and spring is all I can think about! As much as I love my boots and heavy winter fashion accessories, I am definitely ready for a lighter look, and looking forward to having some bright and bold colors coming back into play.
One of my favorite ways to show off my personal style, is to wear personalized items, like clothing, accessories, even handbags and outerwear. I was fortunate enough to be able to connect with the fabulous team over at MarleyLilly, who offered me the opportunity to select a couple of items from their Monogram Shop. It's no lie when I say that I loved everything I laid eyes on. I mean, I love monogrammed everything, so making a decision wasn't easy. I did, however fall in love with a couple of things in particular, and was so excited for the opportunity to try them out, and show them off! I got my selections submitted to the gals at MarleyLilly, and within just a few days, my monogrammed goodies were at my doorstep!
When I opened up my package from MarleyLilly, this is what I found... two beautifully packaged gifts!
I love the way MarleyLilly packaged and presented my items. I felt like I was opening birthday presents- it was such a special treat! I loved every detail, from the cute chevron wrapping paper and box, to the cute pink ribbons!
My first task was to unwrap the larger box. I tried desperately not to tear the paper!
Underneath the wrapping paper, I found a shoebox, which contained a pair of Bamboo brand shoes.
The shoes were all wrapped up in tissue paper, and had a MarleyLilly card inside.
A couple of things about the shoes- these are Monogrammed Ballet Flats. The idea of having my monogram on a pair of flats was very exciting to me. I have seen a handful of ladies in my town with monogrammed boots, which I also think are totally adorable. I had not yet seen anyone with a pair of monogrammed flats, and when I saw these, I knew I had had to have them! The monogrammed ballet flats from MarleyLilly are available in various sizes, and colors, and can pretty much be customized to your liking by font style, colors, etc- so no two pairs will wind up looking the same!
I chose the royal blue color for the shoes... they are stunning!
I went with blue for the shoes, because blue is not normally a color I would think to purchase in a shoe. I have the typical colored flats- black, tan, nude, red, and even olive green, but nothing as bold as the royal blue! I already knew that I had lots of neutrals and jewel tones that these would look gorgeous with!

I was so, so excited about these cute flats! I couldn't wait to wear them! I ordered the 7.5, which is the size I normally wear, and they fit beautifully! It's always sort of scary to order shoes online, especially personalized shoes, but these fit like a dream. If you're going to order these, I'd say go with the size you normally wear in a flat.
The flats are so comfy, I don't even take them off at home (and I don't usually wear shoes in the house!).

I love my new Monogrammed Ballet Flats from MarleyLilly so much that I never want to take them off! I've seriously been wearing them every chance I get! I wear them when I teach music to the little ones (because they're so comfy), when I'm out running errands, to church, to meetings, out shopping- and everywhere I go, someone is asking about these shoes and where they came from. The first time I wore these was to church on a volunteer day for an after school program we offer, and all of the moms were commenting about these flats and how adorable they were!

This necklace is available in a couple of different styles- one being pearl, and the other being tortoise. I selected the pearl, because it just seemed more 'me.' I am definitely a pearl girl, and I knew this would go with a lot of items that I own, and would normally wear. I don't own a lot of gold jewelry, though. I tend to lean more toward silver, but within the past couple of years, I have really been wanting to wear more gold in the spring and summer, especially!
Here's an idea of how long the chain on this necklace is. It's adjustable, so you make the length whatever you like. Personally, I am loving the long length on it.
The necklace is monogrammed with a gold font, which matches the necklace, and the background is a pretty pearl-esque color, which I love- so classic and girly.
I paired the necklace with a rose colored burnout tee, and loved the color contrast!
Here's another look at the necklace. I really love the longer length, because it allows me to wear it with a deeper cut top or v-neck style, such as the one I have on, here.
I have received a lot of compliments on this cute necklace, and as we move toward the spring season, I know I'll be wearing it a lot! I can't wait to pair it with a cute gingham button-down shirt or blouse! Bring on spring style!
