Today is a very special day for us- it's B's 4th birthday! I can hardly believe how quickly the past four years have gone by. It seems like I was holding him in my arms for the first time, just yesterday. I still remember the feeling that hubby and I had when we brought him home from the hospital after he was born. We looked at each other and were like, 'Okay, this is real. He lives here with us now. Now what?' 

Lot's of diaper changes, sleepless nights, tears, tantrums, and bad hair days have lead to our amazing little boy being the best part of our lives. As I sit here and think about all of our adventures from the past four years, I just thank God for blessing us with such an incredible gift. B has grown into such a cool little boy- independent for sure, yet still...

One of the coolest things about B's birthday, is that he shares his birthday with my grandmother, Alice, who he lovingly calls G. G. (which stands for Great Gram). I can still vividly remember Gram holding Balian for the first time, kissing his tiny head and whispering, 'You are such a treasure.' Treasures indeed- both of them so special to me.
