Sweet Sally's, Yesterday's Memories Delivered Today. #Review #GlutenFree

I am so excited because I have more great Gluten Free goodies to share with you all. These goodies come from Sweet Sally's, and if you have never heard of Sweet Sally's before, I am here to change that. Sally Saltzbart has an impressive resume, she worked on Wall Street and with some big named hotel companies, as well as some other impressive jobs. She decided one day that she wanted to do what makes her happy, so she took what she learned from her Grandmother and started Sweet Sally's.

Sweet Sallys

Sweet Sally's is a Kosher bakery that specializes in many yummy Jewish treats like Hamentashen, Rugelach, and Babka. They also have cookies and cakes, bars and brownies, but my favorite are her Gluten Free options! Yes, you heard me right, Sweet Sally's has a large variety of Gluten Free goodies and I was lucky enough to try one of those goodies.

I had a hard time deciding on which Gluten Free item I wanted to try since Sweet Sally's offers 11 different GF products! After salivating over Lemon Bars and Coconut Macaroons, I finally decided on the Cheesecake Brownies. Sally got busy baking my order and within a few days I had fresh brownies on my doorstep.

I didn't want to open the box because it was so beautiful!

The first thing that really caught my eye, was the handwritten thank you note that was included with my brownies. I love those small details that really make you feel special, and shows that you are not just another number. I was also impressed with the packaging, a simple white box with a big, red bow! It was a beautifully packaged box, and I just knew that something that had so much care put into the packaging would be delicious. I wasn't wrong!

Look at all the Cheesecake goodness!

There are six large brownies in the box. Three on the bottom separated by decorative paper so they won't stick, and three on top. The chocolate aroma immediately found it's way into my nose and my mouth began to water. I wanted to eat them right away but had decided to take them on our vacation to Branson, so I had to wait another two days to try them. It was torture!!

Perfectly cut, ready to eat!

As soon as we checked into the condo and got settled in, my hands were all over those cheesecake brownies. I cut one in half and my husband and I sunk our teeth into the soft, chewy brownies. It was an explosion of flavor, as I chewed I could taste the creamy cheesecake and rich chocolate but there was a hint of something else. I just couldn't put my finger on it. So what's a girl to do when she can't figure out a flavor? I had another piece!(Shhhh..... Don't tell!) After eating an entire brownie this time, I realized that I was tasting orange, and it was the perfect flavor to compliment the chocolate and cheesecake.

Enjoying the brownies.
Cory was eating his next to me, but refused to be in the photo.

Sweet Sally's Gluten Free Cheesecake Brownies are rich and moist but not dense in anyway. Every bite is amazing, full of flavor and didn't taste Gluten Free at all. It tasted just as yummy as it's wheat counter part. My husband claimed he couldn't tell that they were Gluten Free and was pleasantly surprised. We ate the whole batch on vacation and didn't feel one ounce of guilt for doing so.

Sweet Sally's has got my approval and I'm hoping to order some of their other goodies for my families Christmas vacation. These baked goods would make great holiday gifts for teachers, friends, or even as a treat for yourself! Many of your favorite treats are under $20.00 and the GF Cheesecake Brownies are $23.00. And if you are unsure of what to get for someone, you can always get them a Sweet Sally's gift card.

Want it? Buy it!
You can purchase your Sweet Sally's goodies online, but if you live in or are vacationing in New York, you can find these at several locations. Those locations are West Bank Gourmet, the Times Square, Midtown, Chelsea, and Union Square locations of Off the Wall Yogurt.

I want to say a huge thank you to Sally for allowing me to review her fantastic Gluten Free Cheesecake Brownies.

  1. Those look so yummy! I am surprised that they have so many great options to choose! I'd probably pick the lemon bars.
