Tasty Tuesdays: Rainbow Cupcakes

Hope your Tuesday has been fantastic so far, ours has been busy, busy but so much fun. Looking for something new and different to try for dessert, this next recipe is colorful, easy, and the kids will love to help you make them and eat them.

For our Rainbow themed 1st birthday party for Baby C, we needed some dessert to help us celebrate.

You Will Need
One box cake mix, white or yellow (we used white)
eggs, vegetable oil, water (per cake mix box)
food coloring (red, yellow, green, blue)
frosting
sprinkles

Step One: We started with a box of Pillsbury Moist Supreme White Cake mix, prepared as instructed
Step Two: After mixing the white cake mix, per directions, I separated the batter in to 6 bowls, all with about equal amounts. I then added food coloring in to each bowl to create red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple batter.
Step Three: I slowly added a small amount of each color batter in to muffin tins, layering the colors on top of each other.
Step Four: Bake as instructed on the cake mix box, check with toothpick to make sure they are done.
Step Five: Let cool, frost in your choice of frosting, decorate
They turned out so cute, we had tons of compliments and they were all eaten up, Enjoy!

We had one messy but fun evenings of rainbow cupcakes!
