Take a Seat this Summer in GloDea's Chair X36 #Review + #Giveaway

It may not officially be summer yet, but it sure does feel like it. All around me, the grass is lush and green, the flowers are blooming, birds, bees, and butterflies are fluttering their wings in harmony, and I can't drink it in enough. Aside from it being very warm, humid, and having to fight off those pesky mosquitoes (they love me for some reason), I can't wait to start and end my day outside. I have spent some time trying to make the front porch of our craftsman style bungalow ready for us to enjoy during the summer- placing our outdoor furniture and plants in the right spots to create a lovely ambiance. Even after I felt like I had everything in place, we still seemed to be missing something.

Not long ago, as I began to do a little outdoor living prep, I came across GloDea, a design company based in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida, which has innovation branded deeply within their core. Unique indeed. I had the great pleasure of connecting with Patrick at GloDea, who offered to send me one of their beautiful Chair X36 models from GloDea's Xquare Furniture Collection. As soon as I laid eyes on the Xquare Furniture by GloDea, I was certainly intrigued. The unique design was completely different from anything I had ever seen in indoor/outdoor wooden furniture before. I had all sorts of questions about the chair in particular... Would it complement other outdoor furniture? Would it look out of place, being that it's so modern in design, if it sat on my porch? Would it even be comfortable to sit in for an extended period of time?

Thanks to the kindness of GloDea, I was about to find out the answers to my questions.

A very special delivery from GloDea has arrived...

I was pleased to see that the side of the package containing my new GloDea Xquare Chair X36, told me the chair model and style.

The folks at GloDea were wonderful to prepare a Chair X36 for me, and send it my way. GloDea offers their unique outdoor chairs in several colors and finishes, and I could have gone totally funky and fun color, but call me a stickler for tradition- I went with the Teak Oil Finish. I hoped that it would be a nice match with our teak bench and coffee table, but that its design would truly make it stand out.

I was so excited when our GloDea Chair X36 arrived. I told myself that I wasn't going to even open the box until my husband (Sacha) was home from work, because if it needed to be put together in any way, I would need some help with it. I stared at the shipping box as it sat in my living room for a few hours, until I just couldn't take it anymore. I had to see that chair! I carefully opened the box, and was so surprised by what I found.

The Chair X36 looked so lovely in its box, that I almost didn't want to remove it, so I picked up the informational brochure to give it a read, first.

I learned a lot about the Chair X36, which I was happy for. I wanted to be able to give my husband some background information on our new furniture piece, and also to be able to tell my guests more about GloDea's unique collection. I learned that this piece was conceptualized by Brazilian designer Ignacio Santos, and that the Chair X36 is crafted from Eco Friendly Premium Yellow Pine wood, and stainless steel, making it built to last for years to come.

I wanted to further explore the chair, so naturally, I began to remove it from the shipping box. I was so excited to find that the chair was all in one piece! The Chair X36 was folded flat, and all I needed to do was stand it up, and unfold it.

The Teak Oil finish on the yellow pine wood was completely stunning. I couldn't wait to see what it would look like in natural light.

GloDea makes it official- each piece of GloDea's furniture has this special GloDea label on the side of it.

I expected the Chair X36 to be heavy, maybe even awkward to move around by myself, but to my surprise, the chair weighs just 19 pounds! If I can manage to pick up and tote around my son while we're out for a day of shopping, I can definitely manage this chair.

I couldn't wait to sit in the Chair X36. I was a bit unsure at first, because the chair does sit low to the ground, and my legs are long, so I sat down very carefully. I am a huge klutz, and wanted to make sure that my first experience with the Chair X36 didn't start off with me tipping it over and landing on the floor. I was happy to find that the chair was super sturdy, and I was very silly for worrying about that in the first place. I sat straight back in the chair, and didn't feel the slightest bit uncomfortable. My feet touched the floor comfortably, and I couldn't wait to take the chair outside to see what it would look like on my porch. I already had a spot in mind for it, which would add a beautiful conversation piece to our conversation area!

Not only does the Chair X36 look wonderful on our front porch, it's amazingly comfortable, as well. We have had a lot of friends and family over since we received this beauty, and I have invited each one of them to see our beautiful new piece of furniture. I couldn't help but smile as I showed it off, because each person gave me the same sort of puzzled look- wondering how that interesting looking chair would be comfortable to sit in? After sitting down for the first time in this chair, each of those folks just smiled, and said that it was probably one of the most comfortable chairs they'd ever sat in. They were all blown away by the design, and like me, they loved how even being so modern, it fit in so very well with the furniture we already owned.

I couldn't agree more with my friends and family- the GloDea Chair X36 is the best seat in/outside of the house!

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind!

I really enjoy starting my day by sitting in the Chair X36, sipping a hot cup of coffee. I am able to relax with my own thoughts, and am usually up so early that I am able to see the sun rising, and enjoy the quiet surroundings before the busy-ness of the day sets in. My son loves to play on our front porch, and I am thankful to have such a comfortable chair to sit in and work from while we're outside. I can prop my feet right on up and relax in the chair while I answer e-mails and make calls, while keeping a watchful eye on my precious boy. At the end of the day, the porch is calling my name, and the Chair X36 has been named 'Mommy's chair.' It feels so wonderful to sit down and read, perhaps enjoy a glass of wine and unwind.

However, I'm not the only person in my house who loves this chair...

Both my husband and my son love taking turns sitting in the Chair X36- that is, if mommy is nice enough to share.

There's so much to love about the Chair X36 by GloDea. Not only is it beautiful, it's so comfortable that we want to take it along with us when we're on outings. Seriously- I am thinking about taking this chair along to the beach with us on our next trip. Family picnic time? Yep, I know where I'll be sitting. Friends coming over for a little 'campfire' and to roast marshmallows? Well, I suppose being a polite hostess, I will offer this wonderful seat to a guest, but you get the idea.
